I'm going to see smashing pumpkins on the 13th of June in Manchester England, they have the guitarist kiki wong playing with the band now and she is known for her electric guitar playing so I really hope we get a lot of songs from the siamese dream album. That would be just something else, can't wait.

@@F110mechive only recently discovered this album but I am so hooked and blown away by it. Absolutely love the bands you mentioned but I don't think they have any albums as good as this. I'd have it as my best 90s album I think. Jar of Flies second

@@F110mech yeah im not telling you youre wrong, im just curious as to the 90s albums you would have above it. I dont equate popularity to musicality, and I don't think the likes of Nevermind or Ten have the same variation. SD is equally dreamy in measure as it is heavy. Better mix of acoustic and distorted guitar. String sections sprinkled in there too. The guitar tone is also just out of this world, maybe the best I've heard. I love Nevermind and its probs in my top 3 90s with this and Jar of Flies. No question there is mega competition from that era! If you look at it solely through the lens of musicality though I think it tops the lot

I was 17, a junior in high school when this album came out and was lucky enough to catch the tour when it came to my hometown. Tickets were something like $18. General admission, got there early and claimed my spot against the front and center row right up against the rail. No cellphones, no distractions. I had to fight all night to keep my spot and ended up with a pretty good size bruise across my stomach 😂. Well worth it!! One of the greatest moments of my life.
