Every performance he did the backing tracks were louder than he was and he missed over half the notes he does on altered state. Dan sings the songs with much more finesse and performance.

I'd say they're equally talented singers, but Dan is way more of a front man.

it seems to me that ashe nailed it on the album and I like his vocals on it more than their other albums but live dan stole the show imo

@@Ayyydrianne problem is, his sound isn’t real. He supplemented a lot of his live performances with backing tracks that were louder than he was to hide his inconsistencies which was his biggest issue. He never sounded the same twice live and he butchered most of his own songs which is sad. I liked him, altered state is my second favorite album from them but I just didn’t enjoy how much he faked his live stuff. One of the biggest defining moments I knew he wasn’t as good as the album made him out to be is the studio performance they did. It’s all 100% lip synced with tracks whereas dan’s studio performance of hexes and Phoenix are all very real.

In every video I watch of Ashe he's way quieter than the track.... Glad his fake voice is gone.

+Totally Radical Dude 7 layers of his voice (yeah that's right, 7. I can pick out the different keys.) are being played through the system OVER him not UNDER him. He pulls away from the mic and can't hold his notes nearly as long as the studio, also sings 1-2 octaves lower than the original key and let's the backing track take the high notes that people claim he can do. He's pitchy, dan uses very few backing tracks (only on nocturne and I believe one other) but on his own songs it's just him. Ashe is fake dude get over it.

+Totally Radical Dude I always have to tell people about my own videos that I don't choose those songs as I'm not the leader of the group, my viewpoint is generally overlooked. Secondly I didn't slept it up I just changed the kick pattern lol, thirdly, comparing dan and Ashe live, Dan is louder than the tracks where Ashe is quieter than the tracks. I've seen both live and walked out of the show with Ashe with disappointment In his vocal performance. Dan was spot on (saw them last year and hopefully this year) and I wasn't disappointed, the band itself is always on point but ashes vocals were really bad live. He's very pitchy (dan can be as well, he's not perfect either) but I've seen a lot worse moments with Ashe than good.

+Totally Radical Dude and to comment on dan lowering his octave, the difference is that there's proof can can do them, he did them last year when I saw him. He just doesn't do them all the time now, but Ashe never EVER did them.

hey, I get that the first part of the song has lots of harmonies and stuff but when the whole band kicks in I think he sounds pretty badass, I don't think Altered State could've had a better vocalist, and I think the same about One and the recent stuff with Dan
