It's SO good to see a REAL cobbler on here, one with a double crust instead of a batter poured on top. My Granny always made her cobbler with double crust, so that's how I make mine.

Use this recipe but substitute peaches for the blackberries. You can do the same with strawberries and apples! Play with different spices and the amounts until you reach your sweet spot! Enjoy.

Hey Jackie B! This recipe is so simple that even beginner cooks could make it. Now some people do cook their fruit and add everything to the filling until it thickens before pouring it into the baking dish but to me those are just unnecessary time consuming steps. You are going to get the same results and less mushier fruit when you use this method. I hope you try it and I really hope that you will love it. You can use frozen fruit too if your favorite fruit is out of season but I let the fruit thaw first and drain off some of the liquid so the pie won’t be too juicy. Thanks for watching and God bless!

I think this is going to be my go-to recipe for blackberry cobbler! Love it. I've been looking for right one. I haven't made cobbler since I was in high school! My sister and I used to pick the blackberries that grew along the fence around the cow pasture. I hope you are doing better, Jackie. I think I know how you feel. I'm about your age and having age-related problems, too. I had to get the negativity out of my life, and part of that required me to learn to love the negative folks from afar. Absolutely! Negativity can drain the life right out of you if you let it. Positivity and a positive mindset is a game changer. I grew up eating wild blackberries and strawberries out of fields and they were so delicious. They were naturally sweet and you tasted the actual berry. My family hated the pits in the blackberries but they loved the pie. Old fashioned goodness🤗
