I have an ASP 120 that I converted to petrol running at 40:1, the Oil I use is the same full synthetic base used for all my Chainsaws. Its have been benched tested and has clocked up four or five hours. This Four Stroke engine is the same as all IC engines, having over hung crank and plain bearing bottom end, ( except the main bearings which are ball race) Having micked up the big end journal I found no appreciable wear. All parts for this conversion were supplied by Just Engines in the UK.

yes totally agree, I'm going to run with as much oil as possible, I'll open the engine now and see how it looks inside. measure if I see any wear. and look at the valves.

Hello Bruce ,, i use about 4% syntetic 2 stroke oil. Later I will try with a little more oil, like 5%

I have O.S. 0.52 glow 2 stroke and I want to change it to gas. Should I go for 10 or 20cc ? Anyone have any tips. This is a 10 year old video if anyone is still there!!

I found out that the engine run much better with smaller opening in the muffler ,Therefore, I made a screw that can adjust the opening of muffler

Wondering how the engine in this video is doing? Still flying? I am flying mine (ASP 52 FS) now for close to 3 years on gasoline and it is a perfect every-day flyer. Super easy in use, and extremely reliable. Converted a 91, a 30, and a Boxer (all ASP fourstrokes) and each and every one has proven extremely userfriendly and extremely reliable. Tons of videos on my channel
