From my point of view, Section 6A is not proving effective in controlling immigrants. At a time, when some countries of Europe are easily terminating the citizenship of immigrants, our country at this point of time with world's highest population is facing difficulty in controlling the immigrants even after implementing the NRC. If the cut of date is changed to 1951, instead of 1971, NRC would be strong and effective, and immigrant's would be less.But, there was objection to implement from the year 1951, so 1971 was considered as the baseline year. As a result, assam and tripura has become an asylum of bangladeshi immigrants.Indegenous people of assam and tripura are becoming like minority. Countries in europe like poland has stricter laws to control immigrant's.When european countries are dealing so strictly with immigrants, our country cannot afford to be so sympathetic towards the immigrants.The map of Assam and Tripura is too small to allow citizenship to influx refugees.
