i still have the older13s ultra and the torque is still crazy. Absolutely destroyed a meepo nls pro in a race. threw some mbs wheels on it and its a super smooth and relaxing ride when you want it to be.

Love my ultra, it’s not the x or pro but I needed something more up to date than my 2020 Beastboard,. Deff worth the $ with higher quality parts and smart turn on.

love my ultra too. Came from a backfire g3 and it's a big step up in terms of performance and ride feel. Just feels like a quality board. Even though i have the og one it's been super reliable and easy to work on.

Honestly that was the board I kept thinking it replaced Literally was thinking of making a video and cutting in snips from Casey N and addressing all his wants in a board The brakes feel a smig softer but that’s always going to be the case compared to that reverse brake on Boosted

Nice review Scott! Is this hobbywing the same ESC as the 80A Hobbywing ESC v7.0 that is an option on the Explorer now? The 80A Explorer ESC v2.0 is no longer in stock in the US and I was wondering if the 80A Hobbywing ESC had the same torque. It sounds like the ESC on the Ultra X Pro may be a bit weaker.

Yes this is not the same as the explorer esc That one is based off a Hobbywing but has been customized and had a new remote as well, This one is the 9028 v7 not sure about the amps

Thanks for the reply Scott. Two options of ESC are now listed for the Explorer on the Tynee website. One is listed as "80A Hobbywing ESC v7.0" and the other as "80A Explorer ESC v2.0" hence the confusion. @@scottdaviesyoutube

*This is me too, I still love the simpler form factor eBoards* ⚡️🤟🏽🤟🏽⚡️ The fact that Tynee offer 3 versions of the Ultra is amazin, the more choice people have the better. Nice to see Hobbywing on this one, although I've not had a chance to try the Explorer ESC. Rubber sealed power button is a life saver! Had to replace it twice on a board I had from a different brand. Very thorough review mate, nice one! Any chance of a top 5 usb-c wireless lavs/mics under $80 video?
