BeastyQT for instance, achieved GM for all three races around a similar ranking in GM too one year; but is pretty much true GM to the core in any race, anytime he wants to get it for any season. So take that what you will. He isn't like you, whining about balance, that is for damn sure though. But I suspect most ex-pros save for a few would be. Well, maybe some criticisms for recent balances, but definitely not towards what this lot is whining about.

This lategame was very interesting indeed. I think at this point Protoss is better off going for void/immortal/archon/ht than full skytoss, corruptors are just way too good against tempest and carriers even with splash.

why do pros neeeever ever retreat with low shield hitpoints archons? for example at 5:50 .. just pull these two back and you have two more full health archons in your next fight .. or just throw them away like that achieving nothing. I see that a lot in pro games. Does it need too much apm?

Yeah it's very different watching with full vision while casters commentate for you. Watch some of Harstem's matches and you get a feel for how chaotic pro-level matches are, it's easy to make lots of little mistakes, because you're watching and managing literally 100 other things too! Perfect play is impossible, at any level, to be honest

I think infestors were always so OP since WOL they have been nerfed and reimagined countless times with crazy APMs you didn't need another mass unit to counter anything, now it just feels cheap when they mind control a Carrier, battle crusier or your mother ship.

Wow what an insane game, it started off pretty weird and ended pretty weird as well. The entire game really was hard to judge, thought the Protoss loss when he loss all the Armada, but I realized that the corruptors were pretty much useless and Protoss still had a bank, the voidray transition was also confusing since you're just gonna make the corruptors useful again, but I guess it worked.

He lost the prism so he couldn’t reinforce offensively, while Zerg can reinforce because he has all of his production near the fight. Protoss needed more zealots to tank the zerglings.

@@Baegitte mass void unfortunately only goes 50-50 against corrupters. If you look at the 19:20 mark onward Trap was attempting to use void rays but he lost too many and had to run. Honestly I found stalkers + High Templars as the best solution for corrupters because corrupters can't hit them and this combo is also a very good ground army.

This is very interesting. At the high level, I truly feel like Zerg doesn't have any good lategame. It's like they decided to make Terrans strong by giving them efficient hard counters to everything, they decided to make Protoss strong by making their units very powerful, but slow, and Zerg? Zerg they make fast and cheap, but make them powerful only through economic strength. They're a strangely meta force in SC2. More than any other race, it seems as if their lategame depends on dominating the midgame. If you gave the exact same buff to each race, I feel Zerg would always benefit the least from it.

I'm surprised you think that, since everyone was talking about Zerg lategame dominance until the nerfs to Broodlords and Infestors earlier this year. Zerg have historically had a very powerful late game due to their high tier spellcasters being insanely good.

TekRobo I think currently Zerg’s only good late game unit is Vipers. With Infestors being of little use now, as far as I can tell, their late game strength is really just “more of their mid game strength” That said, I do think Protoss needs some love. Perhaps even more than they have only recently been given.

Not sure if you are trolling or not... Zerg has the ultimate lategame army . Protoss winning ultra lategame vs Zerg is more rare than the other way around. Dark threw this game by making way too many Corrupters, and his ground army got pummeled as a result. If he had less Corrupters and added Vipers and more Lurker/Hydra, it would have been a stomp.
