We take two old scaffold boards, cut them down and sand them up to a nice high finish. The boards are then glued and attached to some gorgeous x shaped metal legs I found on amazon. These are the same legs used on our epoxy table build.
The end result is quick and easy benches made from scaffold boards that fit brilliantly with our table.

how did you join the two board together.

Just wood glue and clamped them together. The metal legs also help with strength as they go over both boards.
