Nice, I have had nothing but issues with a new husqvarna z254. The quick release stud nut came off on right side and weight of deck bent the deck frame that lifts and lowers it on the left side. So that bend caused the linkage arm to keep slipping out. This was in the first 40-50 hours after it had been fully serviced at 12 hours for break in oil change, not to mention the oil filter came loose and leaked oil 2 mows after. I took it in and it was taking forever for the deck frame to get sent. So, I went and financed 0% 48 months on scag patriot. I have 4 acres of hilly bumpy terrain. At my age it should last till retired or dead LOL!

I just bought the 48in Liberty with Scag SR motor based partly on your review. Thanks for your help. Used twice so far. Cuts my acre very well in less than half the time as my garden tractor. Seems efficient on gas too. Thanks.

Gas gauge is nice and give me that seat any day! Not familiar with the engine that much. I believe Tony runs one of these machines also. That's a awesome Warranty and hard to beat the 48" ✔️💯👍🏾

I bought a Scag Liberty Z and I have my Scag Zero Turn and I have 3 years now with 325 hours/48' I have bought two tires but it's ok , I used to have a Walk behind a Scag 48' and I sold my Lawn & trailer for $5000. and now I have Scag Zero Turn Mower

You have a great looking Scag Liberty Z mower , you can but a Suspension Seat Kit on it to make ride much better , make it Easy on your back an body I know it cost money. I did but one on mine Hustler Raptor XDX it made a big difference in the ride.

Those look like tuff torq transmissions, not hydrogear. I could be wrong, but I've never seen those fans and fill caps looking like that on a zt-2800.

Guess they changed but it is the zt-2800 hydro gear. One of the reason I got it. Hey thanks for watching I see you know your mowers.

@Zeroturnlawncare If you get a chance , make another video. Take your phone and video just inside each rear wheel. there should be a little black plastic cover that says ZT-2800 that is protecting the oil filter. Also make quick clip of you driving it at full throttle without the blades engaged. If those are tuff torqs, I'm curious how they sound. According to scags website, all 48 and 52s have tuff torq transmissions for the last year or two. Scags website has been known to be unreliable. What year is that? I'll have to go back in the video but I thought I saw ahydro reservoir which makes that a 2020 model. If it's 2021 the reservoir was internal, and 2022 started with the scag SR and the tuff torqs. My dates may be off atad, but dealers will sell a leftover 2022 or 2023 model as a 2024. They only way to verify is the first few letters/numbers of the serial number. Most of the time the dealers don't even know what they have, they will lie straight to your face to get your money. Ask me how I know :) I've owned 4 brand new scags and they all had issues. Switched to hustler and that was even worse lol.
