If That show was happening in The REAL WORLD, they would have gotten her miraculous a long time ago. And, are you dumb? The reason why he said succeed was because some of his victims were this close to actually defeating them, Most of the akumatized victims he controlled never got close to actually defeating them. Gabriel was symbolizing succeed because of how close Alya got and he knew he could do it again If he found another target that has a large amount of negativity. Since this is a show that needs plot armor for main characters to win, of course it would be impossible to defeat them.
