Very cool man. Yup all the perfect little tweaks to get it just right. Now. What's Next? Maybe a car hoist? I was also wondering if you could use those 8mm bearings for some thing on the 8x8.. ;) Thumbs up bud. That is pretty awesome
@JCRC4 жыл бұрын
We shall see where those end up :) But yes, that is a good idea for where they can be used :) Only problem is, anything on the 8x8 is always tomorrow hahahah :) Cheers dude :)

It's great, I really like this construction, lots of very good ideas, and for me it's perfect. . For the 8mm problem you need to take two brass tubes, 1 of 6 and 1 of 8mm. You apply solder on that of 6 (very fine solder) then you thread the tube of 8 on that of 6 and you heat, this will allow the tube of 6 to stick to the tube of 8 and you will have your reduction. (Remember to put solder paste in the tube of 8 before putting the tube of 6) So when am I going to see this suzuki ride? I have an idea, you send it to me and I will try it for you and maybe (or not) I will send it back to you 😄😄

If there wasn't this virus restriction in movement, I'd have driven down the road and got myself a couple of 6 mm bearing carriers or at least the correct size of copper tubing you mentioned, but.... :( It was a challenge and I found another way how to use the parts I already had .. :) As for the yellow Samurai, it was and still is the most expensive and the most useless hard body I never bought and I decided to leave it as a scale accessory for the garage rather than drive it and smash it to pieces on my first drive, but then, you are always welcome to come over and see it for yourself :)

@@JCRC Well already it's good to have been able to come up with an idea to use what you have bought, at least it is useful for something. Your solution is really very good for mounting the boats, moreover it would be a good system at scale 1.1 . It's still a shame not to be able to use this suzuki, in addition if I calculate it has been at least two years since you got it, you buy it or? jsscale? It's surprising that it is fragile, although the body would need reinforcement to stiffen it , what I did also on my suzuki since there is only the roof which makes reinforcement . I wanted to buy one but jsscale is selling it too expensive for me .

This one is made from fibre resin .. just like 1:1 boats - a guy on Facebook. If you are interested, I can get you the name, but just for the record, JS Scale is cheaper hahahahah - when I received it, it had a lot of damage from transport. I should have claimed the damage for bad packaging but silly me did not! Too late now. Then it is so small that it is difficult to put things under the body, no real room anywhere. It has a wheelbase of 210mm .. which is closer to 1:10 that any other scale Samurai out there - compared to the Jeep and the Blue/Yellow Land Cruiser, it looks small but that is because it is a true 1:10 - I've had it close to 3 or 4 years now - forgot .. I got used to seeing it in the garage .. sometimes I use it for pictures in the garage because of its scale features but that is about it. Not really interested in making it work

@@JCRC I would have been interested but not at crazy prices like that. 21cm is the size of my Polaris at 1/18, actually not easy to put a chassis, apart from doing like me and using a chassis of 1/18 and more more expensive than jsscale !! I must say that it's crazy , It's very expensive to just take pictures !! I did not know that you could use resin fiber to do this but if it is fragile I do not see the interest of working this material. It's still a shame not to find a solution for this suzuki .

When I saw it I loved it. It was a hard top closed body and I had to pay extra to have to cut open and to make it as it is!! After all the trouble I had with the body, I decided to simply leave it in the garage. fits nice there. Yes, its crazy to pay that sum and then leave it there but I will never sell it, that is for sure .. never seen on line it exactly. They all had different things on them. My is one of a few SJ80 like my 1:1
