Das hatte auf jeden Fall Weltniveau! Eingekauft habe ich tatsächlich gar nicht so viel, dazu hat ein bisschen die Zeit gefehlt und auf solchen Veranstaltungen schaue ich nicht unbedingt nach Bausätzen, sondern nach anderem Zubehör, was ich sonst nicht bekomme oder noch nie zuvor gesehen habe. Daher habe ich drei eher ungewöhnliche Einkäufe getätigt :)

That was a very enjoyable half hour spent looking at some great models, including several aircraft in Swedish markings, or of Swedish origin.. :) Many inspirational builds for sure, as there would be in such a large show. :) It's impossible to pick a favourite, but I will ... and odd as it may seem, it is the figure of 'Lucky Luke', drawing faster than his own shadow 2:28. I used to have more or less all of the Lucky Luke cartoon books (in Swedish) but a few years ago I got rid of them.. much as I regret it now. So yes, thanks for sharing some of the builds, you picked a great selection and I understand it would be impossible to show them all. PS: I am trying to forget the minor error on the Saab J35 B Draken, 25:00 as I try not to count rivets, but I'm getting allergic spots all over.. ;)

Die Reizüberflutung war wirklich ein kleines Problem, die Veranstaltung müsste eigentlich mindestens 3 oder 4 Tage dauern, damit man sich alles anschauen kann und es entsprechend würdigen kann.

Oh man you were there too?! Sad that we missed each other, i would have loved to talk to you in person finally! Unfortunately i don´t know how you look or that you were even there. If you go to Scalemates and check the photo gallery of the event, you see me right in the middle of the first picture, so i can proof that i was there :) I thought of doing the following thing at big shows in the future: I set a time and place and announce it in a channel update video where one can find me at a show, like the foyer or something, so friends and fans can gather and find me there!

Also ich sag mal so… wenn das nicht so unfassbar inspirierend und motivierend für die eigenen Projekte wäre, dann wär‘ das ja fast schon demotivierend. Was für eine Qualität!! Wunderschöne Arbeiten. Da kommt man echt aus dem Staunen nicht raus. Es wird wirklich mal Zeit, dass wir den Weg auf uns nehmen und so eine Veranstaltung besuchen. Unglaublich gut!! Findet die Messe jedes Jahr statt? Dann bin ich nämlich wirklich am planen für nächstes Jahr… Ich hoffe, dass es dir auch sonst gut geht! Gruß Daniel

Servus Daniel! Ja, da staunst du, was?! :) Die SMC findet jedes Jahr statt und ist auch relativ gut zu erreichen von uns aus. Ein Besuch ist aber etwas anstrengend wegen der vielen Leute dort und es gibt eigentlich zu viel zu sehen für gerade einmal zwei Tage. Ich denke viel größer und hochkarätiger kann man eine Veranstaltung zum Thema Modellbau eigentlich nicht machen, sonst müsste man als Besucher einfach vieles übergehen. Das wäre ja schade :)

Some great models on display. Unfortunately some of the subjects were a joke. Who wants a model of a milkman? Each to his/her own I guess.

Cheers! Tastes and field of interest vary obviously. I get what you mean, but you picked a bad example here. That milkman figure is based on a very famous photo taken during the bombing raids aimed at London during the early stages of WW2. It is a very powerful imagine, therefore the figure stood out to me in that sea of awesome work and managed to find its way into the video.
