So cool to hear the background behind your builds. What's also very cool is your record keeping for the builds. But given the level of detail you achieve I'm not surprised . Awesome!

I have to say this is an excellent video for anybody who is thinking about building models and what! Your explanation and overview is excellent and including the time and materials used as a joy to listen to! As most IG people make it look like you do it in a weekend! Most excellent review video I've seen in a long time hope to review more you work soon! Thanks for posting Columbus Michigan USA

Thanks for the kind words Steven. I find that too many people on IG and KZbin are posting videos that only showcase what they made instead of showcasing how to make it. I'm glad that you like my style of video because they are pretty much all like that. I get a lot of flack about the slower pace of my videos but I also get a lot of people who appreciate it. Thanks for tuning in to the show and taking the time to leave your comment. It's very much appreciated.

I watched both of the videos in this series and found myself nodding my head and agreeing to all your thoughts! I have made several of the T&J models myself and thoroughly enjoy them. They can be frustrating at times and yet rewarding when finished. I too have made modifications and they are the most fun. I have built the same train engine/tender car that you built and I think I'm going to build some more cars for it. Thanks for your time in making these videos. I know they take a lot of time which takes away from your woodworking time. Looking forward to more.

Just amazing work and patience Kenny. Looking forward to parts as well. Been talking with a friend of mine and thinking about doing a tall ship as I built most of them when I was much younger. Glad to have you as a subscriber Steve. I've been working with wood for almost 43 years now. (started when I was 10) and it's the best hobby in the world. Models aren't all that I make and there are over 500 episodes of the show to choose from on this channel. Some good, some not so good but they were all fun. A huge variety of subject to choose from so feel free to browse through the playlists and see what strikes your fancy. Friday episodes of the program are the woodworking portion of the channel and Tuesdays can be anything from tool reviews, to welding, to pyrography or basically whatever I feel like chatting about that day. Looking forward to your future comments on the show. Thanks for tuning in and for the kind words.

You do absolutely super work. This is way above my grade level. I don't have the patience to do something like this. I was thinking of buying some plans for a truck, which would not be as well done as yours, but it's worth a shot. After all, it's not the end results that counts, it's the fun you have getting there. The quality will be in the eye of the beholder. Keep up the great work. I sincerely enjoy for weekly posts.

Don't sell yourself short Jay. You can do this. Anyone can do this. I'm just a guy that posts it up on the internet and beyond that, I'm nothing special. well done on your models .. an interesting video ... i have done 108 (the prime mover) found setting up the grill a bit of a pain and the mudguards (fenders?) caused me all sorts of trouble .. after the third failed go at them i ended up cutting them out of a bigger bit of wood as one piece, instead of three as per the plan ... i did 67 the wheeled loader and like you found the bucket a pain to do .. with it i ended up using toothpicks as dowels to line the pieces up in order to be able to glue them cleanly ... with 115 the boom crane, i also found the rigging the most difficult part ... the boom went reasonably easily for me ... i photocopied the side pieces and glued my pieces one by one into place on the pattern .. i used a pull saw to cut the angles i needed and a block plane to refine them at times .. the tracks went ok, if time consuming, although a later build of another tracked model i ended up with exactly the same trouble with it twisting

Building models like this are great skill builders David. One thing that they definitely test and hone is you patience. Good for you for attempting something 3 times and then, instead of throwing in the towel, devising a way to do it using your own methods. That's the way it's done. @acutabove_woodworkings11 ай бұрын
I received your email this morning John and have sent a reply but I will reply here as well so that others may benefit from the answer as well. You are having a problem finding the video because there never was a video. The firetruck was made back in 2016 and I never produced a video on it. I did post a picture album on the channel’s Facebook page that shows all the pieces as they are made but that was all I produced for that project. Here’s a link to that album if you are interested. facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2543215042564212&type=3 Of course, during your build, you can always feel free to contact me if you are having any issues and I would be more than happy to help if I can. Thanks for tuning in to the show.

Wow!!! Beautiful builds Kenny. So far I did only pattern #65 from toys and joys. The excavator. It took me about 70 hours. Lots of fun. I run into similar scenerio with my tracks being slightly twisted. I enlarged very slightly holes on one side of the track pieces and that allowed me to get them straight. Gonna try to build that jeep JKU one. It looks really cool. Great job buddy

Glad that you liked the show Marcelo. I thought about enlarging the holes but I knew I would never be satisfied with it so I burned it an remade the entire track. LOL. That's just me though. Thanks for tuning in to the show and taking the time to leave a comment. I appreciate it.
