Now just get a mod that makes you 2/55,000 of a block high

Closest you can get is the Gullivers Mod and Tiny blocks to a manageable size Earth. You would also need a gravity mod, not sure if one exists. Boom. EATERH :3 Gulliver makes you smaller, and Tiny Blocks can make Earth actually buildable, since each 16^3 space can be a block, reducing the size dramatically. Not sure if it is still possible, though.

It obviously depends, but I like a brick and granite foundation, Spruce log frame and Spruce walls. that's more rustic approach. Some Quartz and oak would work better for a modern build, and don't ever underestimate prismarine
