Hi KZbin,
In this video I'm building the Italeri Bugatti F35B. I will be using mainly Mr Hobby, Tamiya, VMS, Ammo by Mig and Abtielung 502 products.
Please see some useful links to products below:
scalemodelshed.co.uk/product/...
scalemodelshed.co.uk/product-...
scalemodelshed.co.uk/product-...
I have not been paid by any of the companies mentioned to promote their products. All products have been paid for by me personally and promotion is for information purposes. However I am a hobby shop owner and I do sell most of the products mentioned to the public.
If you are down in the South West UK, you are always very welcome to come in and see me at the shop. scalemodelshed.co.uk/visit-us/
I hope you enjoy the video.
Happy modelling
Andy

Congratulations! Normally these 1/12 Italeri classic cars look as if they had just left the factory. Your model is completely realistic due to its wear and tear and the passage of time. Spectacular!!!

Always wanted to see a full build of one of these big scale vintage racing cars. I see you've put the weathering skills you apply to the aircraft you normally do to great use here. Impressive! Driven hard and put away wet is how I think you'd describe this car.

As a "dabbler" over thr years , im blown away by the level of attention to detail you bring to your builds!! I would love to see #2 car build be the Airfix 1/12 Bentley 4½ litre.... my old man built one one when i was a kid but thats was a "as was" out of the box job. So glad i stumbled onto your channel , the mix of your skill level , quality filming , precise narrative and subtle background music works so well.

I love the method you use for getting and keeping my interest. The detailed explanations and the products used as well as the lighting, the music and your voice just captured me. This is definitely a museum quality build. I learned so much in the time of this video than I could have imagined. Really well done. Well thought out and beautifully produced. Excellent video. Incredible work. Thank you!

Okay, first off you deserve so many more subscribers. This was probably the best "How I did it" video I've seen for a model builder. Most guys put on the "go-sleepy-by" music and you just see them do something, no idea what they're using, what they're doing. You, you have descriptions at the top for the products you're using, you describe (in detail) what you're doing, the steps you're taking, heck even why you did something a certain way. So much information. In my youth this is what a teacher did for classes!! Only down side and this is clearly not your doing, I would really like to understand KZbins algorithms for ads. I think 13 ads in a 46 minute video (one every 3.5 minutes!!) is WAY excessive. But for the information I gleaned from this and honestly to see a box of plastic turn into a better than museum quality model, I suffered through ads for Progressive Insurance, Arby's and VRBO (NONE of which I would EVER dream of using!). Dude. I know a few really good model builders and this was amazing to watch...simply amazing!!!!

I think that's the USA, they are ad crazy - I watched this in the UK - ZERO ADS and I'm not a YT subscription payer either.

Oddly, I suffered no ads in Canada either, and YT videos here usually so peppered with ads that I tend to give up in frustration and quit watching partway through. Not that I’m complaining, I thoroughly enjoyed the novelty of the experience. Outstanding tutorial! For having ‘never built a car model”, you certainly turned out a winner with this. Absolutely beautiful build.

Awesome build. Seeing a large scale older car like that was pretty cool. I always end up removing that crappy chrome plating car kits come with too. An ammonia bath for a little while makes it come right off with a little scrubbing from a toothbrush. I've never had much luck getting paint to stick to it correctly even after sanding.

I'm impressed. Simple tricks, but so effective to get that heavy weathering effects. Excellent work on this kit, thumb up. I'm a Gunpla kit builder and modeler, I use to paint them completely with my own color schemes, but weathering a kit is the next step for me. And I'm a bit "scared" about it, I would not want to go to far and too "heavy", and ruin it completely (after a long and carefully applied paint job). Such a video as yours is full of good techniques, tips and tricks, and will help me make the step further. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and excellent work. Big up for the editing and camera positions, we really can follow and clearly see the whole process. Excellent. Subscribed.

Hello Andy, great job explaining and demonstrating your artwork. I will be studying your techniques on my build, although not on this particular car. I am an old model builder getting back into the hobby now that I am retired. However, I never attained the skill level I have witnessed in this video, I never met someone with your skill sets as well. Back in 1968 I was buying my models from a discount store called K-MART. Car models back then cost only $1.25, sadly these same models now cost upwards of $24.00 a box. One day I went to buy my next project and was surprised to find wooden skids stacked with 1/8 scale Pocher models selling for $25.00 each. I purchased two a 1931 Alfa Romeo 2300 Monza and a 1909 Fiat. I bought these models for the sole purpose of building them when I have retired. They have been sitting in my closet for over 50 years. I have just started working on the Alfa this week when I came across this video. What you have demonstrated to me was that a model could look so much more dynamic than a finished product. What your depiction of this car says to me is, I have stories to tell you. Whereas a sparkling new car without the scuffs and dings only is an object to admire at best. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills. I eagerly look forward to viewing your portfolio in these videos.

Love what you've done there. I happen to know one of the foremost bodywork creators and restorers in the World and he should see this. Despite their priceless nature, the majority of surviving cars are multi generation owned and used/abused as originally intended. They do get thrashed and trashed and and crashed, have been for the best part of 90 years. Great job and thanks for showing as the real ones should look. Forget the museum beauties and trailer queens.
