Indeed! I invite everybody to invest time in learning the basics of music theory and even more to train their ears!

You could have also moved the bass from d minor to c, (selecting all the notes and lowering them two semitones, and not necessarily move all the other things in d :) but that s also ok. Big up!

Ahah yes I tried off camera but I think D sounds better than C 🥰

Nice bid, that delay on Congas and bongos is what I find tricky sometimes, should the echoes be on tempo or asyncopated is fine? Asking thinking on DJ cuts in mind

I usually set delays sync’ed to the tempo of the track. Sometimes when you have strong swings applied that could clash a bit. Some delay plugins have a swing knob too!

Yes, i realized after uploading :( now i cut that part on the you tube editor but it will need few hours for the edit to be effective. Thanks for notifying me about it anyway!

Dissonance is cool..... you don't need 20+ years experience to put a wrong note u just need to have FEEL. sorry dude not hating im a fan of the channel. Im not sure its right to say this guys track is wrong..... music is subjective. Love

We have different opinions and that’s ok! Pedro agreed with me and he was happy with the result. One note off is totally cool for me, misunderstanding the whole scale is different and leads to a weak track. What i am trying to share is that it is important to know scales and train your ear. Once you are there you can put “wrong” notes with confidence. The FEEL you talk about comes with experience in my opinion, cause many times what feels good for an untrained ear, feels wrong to an experienced one. That being said, it’s a matter of opinions and it is a good thing to have different ones! 🙏🏻
