The lacerta is a Gran Canaria giant lizard (Gallotia Stehlini) from the Gran Canaria island off the coast of Africa. I breed Jeweled Lacertas and had a female Gran Canaria lacerta years ago but was never able to get a male for her before she passed away. She was very unique in being they squeak sounds at times. It think Nick from Unlimited Exotics got a pair and also trying to breed them.

The first thing that popped into my mind for the tortise name was Peaches ! Lovely seeing so many different species and nice vendors, especially the lacertas, as it's an unusual species in the US.

Never been to a reptile expo. Animal Con is as close as I’ve come and that’s more KZbin stars. I’m afraid I’d go crazy purchasing reptiles. Love collubrids…butchered that spelling lol. We bought our first snake, a hognose, at Animal Con. Can’t wait until it’s ready to ‘play’. Love the new tortoise Kagan. I don’t know how you go to an expo and pass up so many incredible animals lol. ❤

The lizard is from the Canary Islands, one of both big island groups here in Spain, I've been there and is pretty cool to see them in the wild!
