Very awesome review video. I love scale trains and I have several locos myself. (Including 3440) however it’s my first rivet counter. Love it !! I also think It’s awesome that scale trains are supporting KSHF. I am also pleased to see CSX step up to preservation. Hope to see more from them. I also live in Ohio. In Cleveland. Nice review! I've been considering getting their new BNSF dash 9 (similar to the one in msts) but I'm unsure as I've already spend 500$ on two Rapido F40PH-2D models.

I've got two of them (the Dash 9's) on pre-order and I'm kinda worried I'll have to cancel them since I've got a Rapido B36-7 and it's starting to look like they'll all come out around the same time. I love ScaleTrains but I also love Rapido too... They're both killing my wallet!

I just received my HO Scaletrains Gevo CSX 3440. Unfortunately, I had to return the locomotive for warranty repairs due to both ditch lights not working. I did a decoder factory reset from my NCE Powercab unit and still no luck. On the bright side, I enjoy the locomotive and hope to get it back soon.

Next run of the CSX GEVO/Spirit of Ravenna will have an ESU/Loksound 5 decoder coming in a few weeks. My DCC controller is a NCE Power Cab with a WifiTrax module.

How did you connect your Zephyr to your EZ track? I tried and no luck. Or do you have a Bachmann DCC controller?

I used the Zephyr as shown in the video. Are you using the EZ track wire that just plugs into the transformer (plugs into like music headphones) or the one with the two terminal ends that connect to a transformer? I used the latter for my setup, I cut off the terminal ends, stripped the wires and then connected them directly to the Zephyr.

@@CSXGirl822 I have the ladder zephyr, I tried stripping the terminal ends on the ez track, but whenever I tried to strip the plastic off the wire, the wire would go with it.

You have to do it extremely gently - make sure whatever you're cutting with just barely penetrates the plastic enough to cut it but not slice through the wire itself. It took me several tries to get the hang of it but it's possible!

Have you asked them about them? They're usually really responsive to comments on both Facebook and KZbin, I've talked to them a few times myself.

@@ALL-bj7mj Well that's BS with them saying that, quite obviously there is a demand. Eventually I'd to paint my NS ScaleTrains units into a fictional scheme that's similar in coloring so I don't really need them undecorated, but it would be a great option to have if they would actually make them. If I ever see the ScaleTrains guys at a train show or anywhere I'm going to talk to them about that! That's awesome you model Brasil-Bolivia-Argentina, I would love to see their railroads in person one day as they received so many of our old American units (especially the old GE's) that I came into the hobby too late to see or was too young to photograph. At least they've got new leases on life and are still working!

@@CSXGirl822so far I have modeled 17 SD40T-2s in ALL and 4 SD40-2s....im working on a C30-7 that im moving slowly on as I took a interest to the ex. south African railway GT18s (working on 3)….painted roughly 107 cars for America Latina Logistica….I took a liking to the company when I visited my cousin who is a driver there (engineer)….since they run in one man crews I was able to hang out with him everyday....at a railway swap meet I met some great modelers and some reps for Frateschi trains....just before I left I met carlos the decal guy... I just started a layout, smaller than what I planned, but because of my job and other hobbies I didn't want to tackle something that would take years to finish....I will have a good mainline to run 2 SD40T-2s and a 20 car train....I wanted to do open grid, but settled on table top....my mother and younger sister buy me a lot of grain elevators and farming stuff so this section will include a lot of this.... Give me a shout sometime....im painting every night do to overload of winter projects....I have a GP40 and GP35 that I don't have a need for....I could detail them up, paint them up for NS as a mother slug and send them to you! let me know.
