I have been using the Swallowtail for a couple months now and I really like it. It isn't as high quality as a more premium brand, but that's to be expected for a ~$100 airbrush. The one complaint I have is that the mirror finish is already getting worn through on the smaller paint cup. Paint isn't sticking to it, but it's there.

I have my swallowtail on order. Any thoughts on how frequently it experienced tip dry with the Stynylrez? I've had tremendous struggle with Stynylrez and tip dry issues.

Can't really say as I have not used Stynylrez primers, seems to perform well with the primers I use (mainly Vallejo/AK surface primers).

Nice review. The products of this brand are interesting, I will look at them if I ever damage one of my Iwata. I have the Neo TRN1, and for primer and big coverage, I will never use again a normal airbrush, so much more confortable. I would like to see the video on the paint removal, as I had several times issues (unfortunately also with varnish).

Well if you own an Iwata, just get spares if it breaks, as the investment is already made. But these are neat airbrushes for the price in my opinion. I am planning an airbrush trouble-shooting video and it may feature in that or in the Panzer IV video - TBC. I own a NEO TRN1 and rarely use it, this is comparably better in my view.

@@scalewarmachines When I see price of the nozzle of the HP-B+ I have (at least 50 €), I'm also seen that for less than double that I could get a nice full airbrush! Hopefully, with the help of Magic Brush, I don't need to remove the nozzle anymore.

I was taught - on a large scale model at least - to always use a new tin of paint (but I've not always - been lucky I guess). I have a GHAD39 and it's a good little AB for £35.00 I've a Sparmax GP50 - good trigger AB, nozzle a bit fiddly etc to fit/clean. I've several H&S and they're a joy to live with and use - the new range even more so I imagine. I've a couple of Paasche too, they're fairly robust, cost effective and fairly easy to live with. It'll be interesting to see how long Gaahleri products last - found a few bits of swarf in mine, not a huge issue, it's a back up AB at the end of the day (0.3 & 0.5). It did a nice job for you both though. Shame about the handle damage. Thanks for a great review and the 10% Discount too✌️💜👍😊

Cool. Looks good for starters or those on a budget. I use Mr Hobby (.2, .3, .5) and Tamiya(.3). Trigger 0.5's are the way to go for primer. (Mr Color and SMS) Mr Hobby .5 trigger comes with the fan cap but the pistol grip is separate item. Tamiya's .3 trigger comes with the pistol grip (and it's the same one as Mr Hobby's). Weird. Thanks for the vids. Followed your work with Lifecolor and got some great results on Italian armour 1/35. Love the Tensacrom. And the Rust sets. More on using Lifecolor products would be great. Doing more non solvent paint as it's just a bit less of a hassle sometimes.(Hot weather and respirator mask in the shed.🥵) Cheers 🦘🦘🦘
