@@carolinaalonzocardena1859 I think she said it sometimes curls at the bottom instead of forming the straight line the triangle would need, due to people either not chaining one before starting a new row or not going into the first stitch on a new row and accidentally missing it, I hope this helps :)

@HICUTETHANG3 жыл бұрын
I completed this project with Lion Heart Coboo (50% Cotton / 50% Bamboo) yarn (Weight 3 - DK) on an E4 (3.5mm) hook. Using a smaller weight, sleek yarn gave me more prominent "holes" between my crochet stitches. I also used a smaller hook to accommodate my yarn. I made a few adjustments and wanted to add them here, in case anyone had the same problem as me. My main issue was that skipping 2 spots only for the scallops would make the scallops somewhat overlap and not create a flush side. It also left a hole in between the scallops. What I did to fix this was right after you've connected both cups, made a chain for the side, and SC back to the cup, instead of skipping the first stitch then immediately doing 7 DC, I made a SC into the first stitch. The stitch right after that (the one where she starts her DC), I did 6 DC instead of 7. I then skipped a stitch and made a SC into the 2nd stitch from the one we made 6 DC's in. Skip another stitch and made 6 DC's. This means you'll have 4 stitches in between your scallops, anchored by one SC in between. This created beautiful, even scallops with no large gaps in between them. It also helps the scallops lay flat instead of overlapping/puckering, even when the sides body is straight. So in short, after you've chained however many to make the side and SC back to the cup, this is what I did: SC into first stitch right after SC chain. 6 DC into the stitch right next to that one. Skip one stitch, SC into stitch after. Skip one stitch, 6 DC into stitch after. For the top of the cup, my scallops were this: After a SC near the top (mine was 3 spaces away), make 4 DC without skipping a stitch. Skip 1 and SC into the stitch after the skipped one. You should now be at the peak (highest point)/middle of the cup, make 3 DC, Make a long chain for the strap and SC all the way back on that chain, Make 3 more DC into the same spot Skip 1, SC into the stitch after the skipped one. Don't skip and do 4 DC right after. Then just follow the scallop pattern I wrote above!

Hey Melissa, If you use a smaller yarn and smaller hook your work will come out smaller, I recomend that you mesure from your nipple down and make the first chain half an inch smaller than the result ( I hope it makes sense) that's the way I do it and the size come out perfect whatever yarn or hook I use.
