You do realize that many Native Americans refer to themselves by that term as well, right? Plus, there are no "native" Americans. They came across the Bering Strait from Asia. Just because they were here first doesn't make them "native." Africans are the only true native people.

Most tribes indicate they populated north America from the east and headed west. The tribes along the Pacific coast of North America and up to Alaska are more descendants of Asia than tribes found further south.

There was actually a guy who was thought to be dead by some Native Americans, so he was scalped. However, he wasn't actually dead, and so he grabbed the scalp and ran away.

It was two different sets of beliefs crashing. The Trail of Tears was Washington's answer so their are no clean hands. I am descended from the Eastern Band of the Cherokee. I try to be fair but every time we won it was a Massacre, the Army a battle even Sand Creek is in most history books
