Great video! I watched a competitor’s video earlier claiming they are getting clients from companies using 3RL needles. And they only use 1RL because it looks better. Upon further googling, there were a bunch of guys claiming the procedure was gone after 7 months! And when they call them to complain, they’re told they will do a touch up for $600! Thanks again for explaining that the 3RL’s can be purchased in different diameters which destroys their claims.

We tend to disagree with this approach. It takes double the amount of sessions, causes lots of trauma to the skin, and we have been less than impressed with the final results we have seen in person.

If you for sure know you wish to do a Ht then i suggest doing that first this way the SMP can be used to add additional density and cover up the scarring from surgery.

Definitely would like to see a longer debate on the 3rl vs the 1rl. I wonder if scalp logic would be willing to do it

We are always up for debate, with that said this 3rl vs 1rl has already been debated and resolved within the SMP community and that is why essentially any artist you poll is using 3rl. Thinking alternatively and trying to innovate is always welcomed, but when someone is basically the only person recommending 1rl, they are not necessarily a trailblazer. Think of it this way, its very easy to have sampled and tested 1RL use, most of us have, and theres many reasons (listed in this video) as to why the great majority of seasoned SMP artists continue to use 3RL.

As a tattoo artist who is SMPing, it is very misleading and damaging to ever insist that traditional tattoo artists autoclave needles, needles should never be reused in any case. I was always taught that needles are single use, your stainless steel tubes can be autoclaved.

If you listened closely, he was referring to waaay back in the day. And the use of autoclaves was what happened back then. You are probably young enough that single use needles were being used when you started.
