I absolutely agree. This one is just not meant for you Jo. I’m just really glad for you that you got your money back it could have turned out so differently - I just have a feeling that the ‘wanting’ feeling is at play here and that should you get it you’ll regret it. JMO.

wow!! i have had preloved shopping drama in the past! the build up to meeting up with someone can be so stressful! Yes its hard to get a bag out of my head sometimes 😋looking forward to the update!

I don’t know why he couldn’t have just been honest with you! The only thing he’d done wrong was saying he had it ! But you’re very lucky he gave you your money back ! So you couldn’t even tell the seller you knew what happened! I think the perfect one will come up ❤

I think if you do end up going along with the purchase, it might leave a sour taste every time you look at it. You were extremely trusting in paying up front, and he should have refunded your money as soon as he told you “he couldn’t make it”, as that’s a lot of money to be missing out of your account even for a few hours 💕

How awful, and yes you’re right one simple lie that was quite an unnecessary lie leads to another and another etc. I hope you can secure the bag it sounds like you’re really invested at this point, the heart wants what it wants.

Seems like maybe he realized he could get more money for the bag, maybe? Regardless, I don’t know why he didn’t just tell you honestly what had happened. I had a situation with a Chanel Classic Flap in “like new” condition on eBay where the woman sent a different bag (in terrible shape) than the one advertised, and I saw that she had posted the same bag photos on other websites even when the bag was in my possession. She was full of lies as well. Ultimately, I returned the bag and eBay forced a refund but it left a bad taste in my mouth. I won’t ever do that again!! I see the bag on HEWI is sold so perhaps it is yours now?

Not worth it everything happens for a reason. If it was meant to be the transaction would have went smoothly. Move on to the next bag and seller it will come at the right time.

I had no idea this happened Jo! I hope you get it sorted. This is why I worry about preloved items especially private sales - at least you got your money back - I would have been so worried. You are very trusting and honest but unfortunately not everyone is like that.

No they really aren’t. Think I’d had some good experiences with honest people and maybe relaxed a bit. You forget not everyone is like yourself!

I think some people (scammers) treat these things like a free loan- they know they have to give the money bank eventually. Having said that, bank transfer for me is only for a very good friend or a trusted reseller like Yan or Ana. Personally i would never enjoy using s bag where this sorr of drama is attached. Also you saud you only oaud half then you kaud for it un full so iwnrd jt when HEWI bought it? Confused.

I think they do the PR for HEWI so know that I know….I can’t prove it but they run their own PR company in the fashion industry and have a client in Marylebone. HEWI are based there.

To explain, I was told what it was - I just didn’t share here. The reason I was Googling it was not to find out personal details but to verify as at that point I was concerned I had been scammed and it was the type of thing that may have been reported.
