The Refund scam. A web of deception starting with a call center, claiming to owe you money for your expired computer security services. They remote connect to your computer to process your fake refund, and then manipulate your online banking to make the victim THINK they’ve been refunded - but “accidentally“ at a much higher amount, in this case, $25,000. They then play on the emotions of the victim, saying they’ll lose their job unless they send them that money BACK. This scammer wants the payment, in cash, mailed to an apartment in Fullerton California. We’ve already mailed a decoy package, now all that’s left is to see who is on the receiving end of it.

Likely, under California Law, Mail Fraud was not committed as there was not $25k in either box. Thus, an actual crime was not committed. Mr. Singh et al were rather committing alleged suspicious activity and not fraud at this point.

I completely agree. I love what these guys and other scambaiters do but honestly they are horrible at getting arrests or even “name and shaming” I cannot understand why they don’t want to develop relationships with Federal law enforcement. The DOJ does prosecute scammers’ allies in the US but for whatever reason the scambaiters are not good at connecting with prosecutors and law enforcement.

@@PaulaCroteau I have no doubt that she knows what he has been doing. I don’t share Trilogy’s assessment of her. The existence of these scams and how they work is fairly well known in the social circles of which that family appears to be part. The only vengeance I see is the limited embarrassment caused to them and that they likely didn’t sleep well for a few nights .Knowing that the police won’t do anything now they probably are sleeping normally, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the packages full of cash are still coming.

It's not easy getting law enforcement to do anything. Unless a crime is actually being committed, no report can be filed and no action will be taken. I run a scambaiting channel and I have had numerous mules in the US, contacted police and really quizzed them on it. If I actually was duped and sent actual cash, they will act: but only if I file a report and by the time they take action, the mule is long gone as is the cash. It's cray! I think exposing them like this is important, but until we adapt laws to fight this there's not much that can be done. As it is, cops can and do setups like this-- called a sting-- but that requires a DA to sign off on it... etc... you have be careful about entrapment... it's not easy for anyone, even the cops.

India Scams Call Centers have been going on for decades and the authorities are never interested in shutting them down. They always consider it to be a civil issue unfortunately. That's why they continue to happen. Whats great is there is a movement with individuals like yourselves to confront the issue. Your efforts are admirable and appreciated by all. Saying that I don't think those money mules would be stupid enough to take this any further as it could get worse for them if an investigation was done . I'm sure UPS keeps records (at least for 3 - 6 months) of all packages so it could be found that lots of parcels were delivered there and who they were from. Only a really stupid criminals would draw more attention to themselves. Ps I am NOT against what trilogy are doing. In fact I think it is good as it sheds light on what these money mules do.

@@OutInLeftField2 Actually they did accomplish something. Whenever this happens the money mule/launderer can't be used without several red flags going up. The scammers will be too worried to use them again for quite some time. By ruining their laundering abilities stateside, even if they have to do it one by one, it makes it much harder for the scammers to conduct business. Whenever the scammers have to reroute a package to a new address it costs them time, and time is money in any business no matter what. Not to mention the fact that these guys have turned scammers in the past, and gotten the scammers to give them information. They could end up meeting just the right person during one of these and that person would be able to get them more information that could lead to shutting down multiple call centers. Also, by making these types of videos and showing how the innerworkings of the scam function they are educating more and more people each time. The more people that are educated means the less likely that they will fall for these scams, or have a family member or friend fall for them. The fewer people falling for these scams the less money these scammers have access to. So in that regard I'd say they accomplished quite a bit. To use an analogy from boxing, sometimes it's the accumulation that does you in not that one huge punch.

I have a feeling the entire family is in on it... The husband plays the "I don't know what you're talking about" role rather well. The wife and daughter become the aggressive, protective," I'll call the cops", in your face type of people and wanting to break the camera so there's no evidence. Now I know if that happened to me and I had nothing to do with it at all I'd tell the cops to take the package, I'm worried about what's on there, etc. Did anyone see the officers with the package, cause I didn't. The way they both react prouves everything. There are two way to react when you’re guilty. Being smooth and shaky cause you know you’ve been exposed. 2nd, you over react by being vocal and agressive. It’s easy to notice. Just look back at the video with Suzan. She was sent a package and they “exposed her” and she explained what happened. No frustration and not trying to explain she wasn’t a scammer with guilty shaky hands. They both are in this scam shit. Push them to the limit and make sure they get exposed and arrested !! If you guys, keep some patience, and let the other person speak as well, and give out some time. See we don’t realize this at the heat of the moment, but trust me, I’ve watched all your videos. It is definitely not a good neighborhood. The murder the cops were speaking of happened February of last year at the end of that street. This area is rampant with aggravated assaults, robberies, burglaries, grand theft auto, MURDERS, etc. There were nearly 300 crimes(that's just the reported ones) within 1/4 mile radius of that address in 2020 alone. I was married to a controlling narcissist with Borderline Personality disorder. Unfortunately, society is giving these women the tools to be this way, supporting this behavior as empowerment. It ruined years of my life and ruined many relationships. I dont believe staying single is the answer. Taking time and not rushing into a relationship, and recognizing the warning signs of a personality disorder is key to finding a healthy and long lasting relationship. I stayed thinking she would eventually change, and recognize all of the good I did, but women like this will never see the good and will end up with a long list of reasons to hate you.
