I work in a call centre. If you swear at a customer, or are heard swearing while a colleague is on the phone, you lose your job. These scammers don't even try to make their scams realistic. It makes me sad that they act like this to real people and make them feel intimidated and scared.

Oh man, I remember when one so called "human being" started threatening me over the phone, so I hung up and swore loud enough for it to be heard on my colleague's phone. Luckily, the area manager was a very down to earth guy, so he let me keep my job (for better or for worse), as long as I didn't let it happen again

It's actually depressing to hear these because I know that someone sending 50k (or even just 10k) to "my friend in New York" would raise every red flag that I have as a sometimes-WU agent. A better lie would be *buying a house* and even then I still would be filling out 3 types of paperwork and phoning loss prevention. But if these scams are working, then *people in my line of work are not doing their jobs to protect these elderly people* and that is just saddening.

He has a strange sense of humor...he had a hard time holding his laughter when he made a scammer to say "I'm a little boy", he was rocking back and forth in his chair trying to hold his laugh. To me it was slightly funny. He obviously likes embarrassment and awkwardness, he admitted that himself.

Me too I love that! I actually had a dog who could run a little way up trees if they were tilted enough, and had rough enough bark. She never chased cats, but the squirrels would sit on the highest branch chittering curses at her and giving her a look like, "What the hell, dogs aren't supposed to be able to do that!"

I’m a real call Center worker - the customers call us to place food orders and that sort of stuff for the elderly, we are a help line. Because of all these India scammers, we have a lot of people refusing to speak to our India coworkers because customers think they are scams when they are not 🙃

I got a legit call from Priceline regarding charges made on my credit card. The woman had a strong Indian accent. Poor woman... I hung up on her 3 times, calling her a scammer. Then I started thinking that I should check my credit card account. Sure enough, someone had stolen my card info and racked up over $2,000 in charges and was trying to charge airline tickets from Priceline. The credit card company took the fraudulent charges away, cancelled my card, and issued a new card, But that poor woman and what she was saying sounded exactly like the Amazon scam.

I am an Indian and I live in Australia and get these scam calls almost daily (Amazon prime, tax scammers etc). I never answer. This is another pandemic of its own ! I THOROUGHLY enjoy scam-baiting videos and watching you guys destroy these scumbags.

I used to get calls from scammers all the time before I got a call blocker. Their brains are like Silly Putty. Not very useful, but fun to play with! I love the way you keep them aggravated with the demented rambling! (BTW, the excruciatingly slow hunt-and-peck while writing that message was sheer genius! I'm sure the scammer's blood pressure was going thru the roof!)
