I don't even answer if I don't recognize the call. When it stops ringing I block the number. If it's an important business call they can leave a voicemail. A friend with a new pH num can text. Everyone I know ignores calls without caller I.d

Banks have made transferring money so easy and then they don't want to take any responsibility when bad things happen. You have your money in a bank to protect it. There should be some events that trigger an inquiry with the customer. Even credit card companies have robust tracking to look for unusual activity and will send you a warning about suspicious activity. These large transfers were not normal for this kid's account.

@coolgamers27942 жыл бұрын
Yes they can. Anything online can be traced. All internet has a VPN or a IP address where it receives information. In this case the cash can be traced using wifi data to pin point where the cash transaction went to. The bad guy better run away to Mexico and never come back or the Feds are coming. 🤣🤣 10,000 Dollars is not a lot; but it does warrant a felony arrest which is usually serious stuff with the FBI.
@jason1040us Жыл бұрын
This is happening alot, it has happened to me a few times. And I was sent some very gruesome images through a text of what would happen to me and my family if I did not pay them. When it is happening to you and your family is threatened it really is terrifying. It is easy to panic. But like law enforcement suggests in this video block them immediately and do not give them anything, and file a police report.

Hard lesson to learn for a kid. Real world situations should really be part of the school curriculum it's never too soon to start teaching kids about fiscal responsibility, handling money, and protecting themselves against cyber crimes. Parents also need to inform their kids better about what can happen. Also how did this teen boy even have 10k in a bank account that he had unfettered access to, the parents would also have to be on an account if he is under 18 and there are restrictions that can be placed on these types of accounts to prevent large withdrawals and transfers. I have alerts and withdraw limits on my bank account that inform me immediately when a large transaction posts and they could have caught it sooner if they had been more diligent.
