As someone that has worked at different banks, a request of funds usually over $5,000 has to be submitted since banks don't keep that kind of cash on hand and not available until the next day at the earliest. Also, a branch manager would speak to the customer if it's unusual to make such a large withdrawal.

Think of any bank robberies you've heard of on the news, the amount is usually under $5,000. While a bank needs money during the day for operations, usually if someone needs more than that amount it's not a last minute thing or needed right in that moment.

I told her don’t worry it’s a scam. She was so upset. The worst thing is she felt like she was a “stupid old lady”, her words. We were able to cancel all her cards and contact the bank. The scammers are getting to know that the time of the Gift Cards Scam is almost over, the time of sending hard cash to India is beginning, however this will prove very difficult for scammers to get the money into India. They will need "Mules" to bring cash into the country as money transfers will have a paper trail which the authorities can follow to hopefully catch the "Big Fish" at the top of the pile.

I’m binge watching all these videos. Some crack me up when the scammers get so frustrated. You can hear the desperation in his pathetic voice. It’s so sad people do this to people especially the elderly when it’s all they have left after working hard and saving even harder. These guys do amazing work . Thank goodness.
