I'd love to see you release a series of videos on how to avoid being scammed. A series of educational videos on the different types of scams carried out, how to spot them and when the alarm bells should be ringing. These scam baiting videos of low level call centre script followers are fun , but I bet your viewing audience is predominantly people who are already aware of scams. Your average Vivienne isn't watching scambaiting videos on youtube so she can learn how tor avoid being scammed.

As a target employee, just to let everyone know, we stop the people trying to buy the cards for scammers. Corporate even put a giftcard price limit and you cant spend more than $500 on giftcards per transaction (and we dont let you do multiple transactions for giftcards. When it looks like it could be a scam we get a TL and they help the person out. Im happy to say i helped save an older woman from being scammed out of $2000 dollars last october. Hasnt happened to me since EDIT: (5/22) Woman came in the other day trying to get a very high price for giftcards. A newer employee almost rang them up, but they had forgot their card anyway so they got lucky... she came in the next day with her husband and within a few minutes they were giving info on the scammers to police. Not sure all the details, but thought its something worth sharing. Our Security is now working with law enforcement, hopefully that will make a difference.

I live in the UK and I was scammed by a so called Microsoft engineer two years ago and I was told to buy gift cards from an Argos store. Luckily the cashier asked why I wanted to buy around £400 worth of Google Play Cards and pointed out a sign to me from the West Mercia Police Forces regarding internet fraud. She rang the police fraud team number to tell them what happened and the police told me to go immediately to go to my local bank branch to get my bank account frozen as well as my credit cards. The scammers managed to get around £200 from my account and had also set up a direct debit from my account for around £50 per month which was recurring and linked to one of my bank credit cards. The bank managed to repay the money that was taken and the direct debit was cancelled. The police fraud team kept a watch on my bank account for around six months and kept me informed about what they had done. I have not been scammed since which is all thanks to the Argos cashier doing a wonderful job and also to the police fraud team and bank for keeping watch on my accounts.

I work at one of those stores. Were taught the red flags and how to prevent people from getting scammed. for those who say they're buying for themselves I'll ask related questions to the store the gift card is for especially giftcards related to gaming. If their answers are not confident or are confused we don't sell and educate on scammers. If they're buying for someone else we confirm that the customer knows who they are buying for in person. We sometimes even have the customer call the person they're buying for. I lost count on how many people I prevented from being scammed. I've had customers head straight to the gift cards with the scammer on speaker phone. We also call other stores in the area to be on the lookout. We don't play around where I'm at. I may seen rude at first but in the end most are thankful I spoke up and questioned.

There's actually quite a lot of humanity in this world but because videos that center around negativity get more views we tend to see mostly negative news. I love this channel because it shows the kind of humanity that is out there. It gets tiring watching all the negativity in the news. If you arent seeing a lot of humanity its always a good idea to create it. It feels quite good to help people. I often help the homeless in my neighborhood and i also help a lot of elderly who's electric scooters die. I live near an assisted living home and i find elderly people all the time (maybe once a week) that are stranded because their scooters run out of battery. I always push them home. People do things to help others every day but it goes unnoticed because negative stuff gets more clicks and shares. Dont get your spirits down. Good people are everywhere.

It would be better if they never did, and better yet if someone could figure out how to wipe ALL of their accounts, return the money, call flood their centers continually, bring them to their knees, and generally just drive them NUTS. How stupid are these guys?? In order to get your refund you need to pay us first... so pay us so we can turn around and give the money right back to you. Then this guy is going to get arrested because the gift cards that were “given away and spent” were for the company they weren’t for personal use... no work had been done or anything but that money was only for their company... a customer couldn’t change their mind and decide not to get any services or anything. Ya really gotta LOVE scammer logic!

Actually the whole thing is to catch those elderly who are non computer savvy or with mental impairments. Think about it, how they talk really fast, and make connections, and threaten them. To us it makes no sense, but if it has gotten them so much money, it has to work.

When i was 18 i got married to a guy from Mexico and was not told he was illegal. When i found out we had had our second son so we decided to find a attorney to help us figure out how to fix it. We paid him 3000 bucks and found out when we went back to see him that he was a fake and took money from a lot of people and when asked what was going to happen because everyone was supposed to testify when he was caught we were told that they all were going to be deported. This man ruined a lot of families and anyone who scams people are sick

Thanks! I got scammed last week but didn't lose any money. I've had to change my bank acct and all my debits and credits. They also locked my computer when I didn't give them money. I found your channel and recognize the script they used word for word. I feel stupid but so glad you are fighting back. Learned my lesson.

Thanks for what you’re doing! My mom just got scammed for $30k in a wire transfer/identity theft/federal reserve scam with “Microsoft”. Thankfully we got the wire transfer canceled before she lost everything but it was too close. I turned her on to your videos with the hopes she’ll learn their evil tricks and not be taken advantage of again. They prey on the elderly and it’s so awful.

I wish I knew how to do what you do bc I would help you help these people. I nearly got scammed bc I was applying to a postal job and they wanted me to give them my debit card for $39 dollars that they would fully refund if I got the job. It didn’t seem right so I googled if you apply for a government position do they charge you and the first thing they popped up explained NO!! No government job makes you pay anything to apply for a job and that it was a scam. I was sooooooo happy that my instincts kicked in but honestly it wouldn’t have had I never seen your channel and watched your videos. You gave me those “scammer instincts” such that I thought it was suspect. Thank you soooooooo much for saving me and what little money I have. Also I now know about the anydesk and team viewer and I have accurate phone numbers for iPhone, amazon etc so I’m not calling these scammers. You are so brilliant and I’m soo soo soo grateful to you! Please never stop! The government should be paying you to do this!
