As for skirting, you can use plastic tarps especially since they have multiple uses. You simply fold them to length to fit your needs.

And it comes in a non-spray container as well because its original purpose was to dip tool handles to make them non-conductive and rust resistant. Hence “plasti” (plastic) “dip” (you dip your tool handles in the jar to coat them).

I do sew and yes, she did a marvelous job. The stitches look like the kind that would hold well, assuming she used strong enough thread. And, its pretty easy to do repairs if needed.

For a seasonal skirt, you might look into something flexible that could be rolled or folded up for storage. Just a length of canvas or other fabric (old tent?) You would need to work out a way to secure it (maybe snaps), but it would make a huge difference. Possibly even bubble wrap?

Suggestion for scamp tires - switched my narrow tires for the 8 inch wide ones, much more stable and can carry double the load

I recommend Goodyear Endurance ST tires. They are made in the U.S.A and are the most reliable trailer tires out there. Avoid all the "China Bomb" tires.

Fixing a boat is very similar. When you're buying Starboard look into 5200 or 4200 adheasive. Youll love it.

there’s a really cool company called schluter that makes completely waterproofed building materials (mostly made for showers and bathrooms) but they have some awesome waterproof sealants and fabric tape that might work for you guys!!!

Sure I’d love to see another detailed inside look at your Scamp, daily routines including making coffee and cooking your meals. And of course enjoying Kamp run wild and free and playing in the snow. Re: Star board, the product is impervious to water and moisture but at a cost. First it is very heavy and second it very expensive. Also it's a little hard to find. I live on the coast in a boating area and there are only a couple of sources. Oh and online, shipping is crazy expensive. I think that a better choice is marine or high quality plywood that you can resin, aka epoxy, coat. Seal with 3M 4200, not 5200, and it will out last your needs.

I worked in the plastic industry a few years back and we used a ton of 1/2" 4'X8' sheets of HDPE Sheet (I think its the same as starboard), a 4'X8'X1/2" sheet weighed right at 82 lbs. its fairly easy to find if you know the right places to look. We used to buy a sheet for about 100 bucks, so not too terribly bad.

Tongue weight is needed. Too little can be dangerous. If you get access to a lift spray foam with probably be the best for the underbelly.

Good stuff. The video is a good length. Allow me to offer this bit of advice: Do NOT use Goodyear tires on the Scamp. I have had my share of grief with Goodyear tires. View KZbinrs Long Long Honeymoon about the problems they have had with Goodyear tires. They switched to a specific Michelin and I switched to oversize Carlisle trailer tires. Don't be shy about tire pressures. I have seen many trailer tires fail from underinflation. Airing down the Subaru tires allows the tires to conform to the terrain and have better traction. Your Subaru is not a hardcore off-road vehicle. I have mixed feelings about airing down the Scamp tires. Safe travels to you.

The "stretchy thing" on the door is a turnbuckle. If a video on KZbin is longer than 20 to 30 minutes I won't watch it. Electric knife works well on memory foam. Nice job. Pretty good sewing too. You can learn to do anything on KZbin; a wonderful source of knowledge.

You can get higher load range trailer tires so you can run lower pressure without issue for off-road. But don’t run low pressure on extended highway runs. I keep a portable compressor for this reason in my Jeep🙏❤️

In national forest you have to relocate every 14 days. How far do you have to relocate to? Is there a minimum distance?

Tour, every inch. 😂. My parents moved around in small Tavel trailer, with bathroom for my dad’s job back in the 70’s. It was fun, but my parents and us 3 kids.. we were crammed. My mom was like a hoarder, so the outside was a HUMONGOUS living room and kitchen... it was embarrassing when my friends wanted to come around... to them it was fun to see these’ gypsies living conditions... lol.. I have a smal 4 banger and would love to take it around the country with a small trailer... but then one day, I had to drive up a steep mountain for my job, poor thing was crying... yeah, gonna hafts get a bigger cylinder... probably 6 cylinder... and 8 would totally suck up my money... I’m so cheap its crazy... I even buy walmart stuff only... and I don’t like hauling a whole lotta stuff... just cheap, even with food. I rather starve ... hahahahaha

Hello! I have several trailers and also have an off road camper. I run light truck tires because they are much more forgiving and smooth on dirt roads and trails. I use BF Goodrich all terrains and they work amazing. The payload is less on a car or truck tire than a trailer because the sidewall is not as stiff(hence the smoother ride). With a small camper like that you will have no payload weight issues because the payload on your camper is not much anyway. Hope this helps! Best!
