Scamps are awesome. Love my home built Scamp #407 (clare) in Australia. Waiting on correct sail to arrive from the States. Currently using a old gaff sail on the lug rig setup but too small a sail for my boat.

Oh yeah. The sail is really high quality. You will love it.

If it's 12 to 15 knots (14 to 17 mph) where are the whitecaps? Wow! 422, that's an old Lido, like 1960-62 vintage. I had 2668 Blue Max and 4076 Supermax. What a lovely day for Tomales Bay.

There isn’t footage in this video of the early part of the day with the higher winds. The reef is still in but the wind was lower in the stuff I included. Yep old lido. The guy restored it.

Great vid, your scamp is moving along nicely with the 3 of you aboard.

Yes. She moves well even with 4 aboard! She has so much positive flotation with sealed areas that the waterline changes little with the 3 aboard. Truly terrific.

@@svslowmotion6611 Oh, you should do it! Amazing boat. You can buy a "kit" from Small Craft Advisor, which comes pre cut CNC. Makes it much easier. Now, it is not an easy build for a novice like me despite only being 12 feet long. It has 8 bulk heads. Lots of curves. But it is wonderful.
