I just came across your channel yesterday and became a sub. Very informative! I appreciate your "easy to understand" presentation style. I was actually led to your channel since I am evaluating whether to take the OA plunge or not. Its rather pricey. What is your opinion on the Tradier platform as I understand that OA is free if I fund an account there. I currently use Fidelity and also TD Ameritrade /TOS. I'm also interested in why you make manual BPS trades based on MC now. Did you stop using OA for some reason? Any feedback from you would be appreciated to help me make the decision to go the OA route or not. Thanks and keep up the great content!

OA is free when used with Tradier or Tradestation. I opened an account at Tradier to use it for that deal. Tradier works great with OA, but I wouldn't use it otherwise (it is very bare bones). Tradestation looks pretty nice though. I don't really use OA much any more. It is an amazing tool, but lately I just prefer picking and choosing my Credit Spread setups. I am able to monitor the market all day so I don't mind manually picking and choosing my trades. If I couldn't monitor the market I would use OA instead of MC. MC is my favorite tool for finding Credit Spread trades. I love how it has backtesting built right in to the scanners.

@@yieldcollector thanks for the quick response. I definitely have a lot to weigh as far as using (paying for) an options service. At the risk of sounding naive, It seems to be very hard to beat finding great option setups when you use OA Trade Ideas and filter for 60% likelihood of achieving Max Profit (or some other high return filter). I'm sure its not that simple but you can't beat sifting through the thousands of permutations to see the "top ones" each minute of the trading day. Have you ever tried Options Play? I'm using their free 30 day trial now and it seemed really good until I stumbled upon OA which I think beats it handily. Of course OA is about the twice the price (unless you use Tradier or Tradestation).

Thanks for the informative video. How do you manage your spreads? When do you exit? Specific DTE?

I usually exit early with around a 50% profit or close it with 1 or 2 DTE. I don't have exact rules.

I don't have my OA Bull Put spread bot back on right now. I have just been scanning for them in MC and placing them myself.

Hi Ben. Looking forward to your updated watchlists for the month today or tomorrow on the website. I'm trying to figure out if there is a way in the subscription (Premium User) Screeners section for credit and debit spreads to include an IV30 search filter like there is in the stock screeners. I just can't seem to see that as a search parameter in, for instance, the bull put credit spreads screener. Do you see that; am I missing it somehow? It doesn't appear that MC set up the put credit spread screener with that setting available. Any ideas?

I just updated the watchlists this morning. I also added in a note on each that shows when they were last updated. As far as the MC IV30 filter, you're correct that it isn't in there. Although if you set your "Return if Stock Flat" number high enough, then all low IV results will be weeded out anyways.

Hello! How do you enter credit spreads in the yield collector tracker?

The app wasn't really designed for spreads. It was designed for keeping track of your cost basis for Wheel Strategy trades mostly. So unfortunately it won't be of much use for you for spreads, Iron Condors, etc..

Do you find in practice that the MC win rate is statistically accurate?

Yeah. It might actually be a little higher for me because I close my trades early (although my profits are less). It also depends on the market conditions. If the market tanks, most Bull Put spreads will lose, even if they have a 70% past win rate.

If you click on any ticker symbol it opens up the overview page. You can see charts and stuff from there.

You know the list changes with every tick movement, there is some huge variations. At one point it shows and the next it disappears, even with small price movement.

As long as you are collecting a larger premium than the theoretical price, then you still have your "edge".
