This is sort of the unofficial national anthem of SCANDAL Nation which is why the crowd is singing along. It's the first song off their 2009 debut album, and has a "let's live for today" vibe. The friendly mob scene at 3:25 dates back to their very first tour in 2009 when the singer kept forgetting the lyrics at that point in the song. The band celebrates their 15th anniversary together on August 21 with a concert in their home-town arena that will also be live streamed to their large worldwide fanbase. Their ages on that date will be 33, 31, 31 and 30 (birthday for the drummer!). Nine top-5 albums in a row and still cranking out hit singles. All 4 girls have MULTIPLE lyric credits on top-15 hits. Their songs styles are so varied they are basically their own genre.

SCANDAL TRIVIA: They formed the band in high school...none of them had played the instruments they now play. A teacher suggested that they "try instruments." The only one who had played was 14 year old Rina, who played piano (not drums). In two years, they debuted in front of 17,000 people at Osaka-Jo Hall and became the #1 girl band in Japan...they still are. Neither Haruna (rhythm guitar), Mami (lead guitar), or Tomomi (bass) had ever even touched a guitar...and Rina had never played drums. They are a musical miracle.

Haruna once forgot the lyrics to the song and Tomomi (bass) and Mami (lead guitar) never let her forget it. LOL The #1 J-Girl band for the last 15 years!

Big Scandal Fan, they are really talented and they have been hard working women-musicians in Japan, for a long time now. There is a whole genre of rock-pop girl bands that are not known much outside Japan. Stereopony is another great group. Great reaction!

I was at that show, :) On their Hello World tour I saw them three times and all of their shows were more than amazing! SCANDAL is my favorite Japanese band of all time (the other ones are X Japan, BABYMETAL, BiSH and Show-Ya)

Very nice reaction! Scandal are a fantastic band. They always transmit so much happiness 😊 They will be celebrating their 15th anniversary this month. They have soooo many good songs in very different styles. From their earliest stuff I'd recommend "Space Ranger" if you find a decent video of it. "DOLL" was their major debut single. Of their newer stuff, I'd recommend "A.M.D.K.J." and "Masterpiece".

Tomomi (bass player) said that if scandal was a country, scandal baby would be the national anthem. so scandal fans should be able to sing the song. Scandal has many genres of music, especially for the album Kiss from the Darkness, there are several genres. if you want a more upbeat song, try the song a.m.d.k.j or masterpiece or platform syndrome.
