Rina Suzuki (SCANDAL), Akane Hirose (BAND-MAID), and Senri Kawaguchi (jazz drummer) are the great smiling female drummers of Japan.

✨Rina's sparkly smile, always shining✨ I think the coordinated moves at the beginning are a remnant of the choreography of their music video for that song. They don't tend to go for super flashy long solos as other bands but there's no doubt they're great with their instruments. Nice reaction video 👍

This is one of two anime themes they did for the anime, Bleach. They also did a theme for Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. BTW, did you notice that Timo's Ashdown amp head and speaker cabinet are taller than she is (5'1")?

There are so many great heavy metal bands and so many hard rock bands out of Japan. SCANDAL is the greatest rock band out of Japan! Apart from X Japan, SCANDAL were my first love of japanese rock music! I love them to death!

Scandal is on Tour in the US this year and possibly next. I just bought tickets for their show at Sony Hall in New York City November the 13th (2021), And so Lucky because I had Bought tickets to se AURORA in New York's pier 5 hall for November 14th. So cool when things work out like this!!!! its going to be an awesome New York weekend trip!

They really are great performers and Musicians they have been together for 15 years. I saw them in their world tour when they played in Anaheim and then in Mexico city and their live shows are great!. It was strange for them for a while at the beginning because the industry tried for a bit to make them be as kind of a cute rock idol group, but it became obvious pretty soon that they were too good musicians for that and besides the singer Haruna and the lead guitar Mami, are quite the characters and not really pop idol material, Tomomi the bass player writes many of the lyrics and the only way I can describe Rina the drummer is a really cool "animal" from the Muppets (which in an interview someone brought it up and she adopted it.). They will be in tour in the US 2021 and probably 2022 when more dates are added.

Mami and Rina write most of the songs now, and Timo rarely sings anymore.

I saw Scandal live on their 2015 Hello World Tour, in London. Their first world tour, hence the name. I dont know the Japanese language except for maybe half a dozen words, but it was an amazing gig would definitely recommend seeing them!
