What isn’t commonly known about the original song was that it was written during a time of political unrest and had political overtones. Scandroid, the modern Synthwave project from Detroit based artist/producer Klayton, best known for his multi-genre project Celldweller, is Klayton’s love letter to the 80s.
The debut, self-titled album features 15 tracks, ranging from the driving instrumental energy of "Destination Unknown," to melodic vocal tracks like "Awakening With You," "Aphelion," and "Neo-Tokyo," rounded out with the cinematic epics "2517" & "Singularity." As a child of the 80s, Klayton has also included a cover of the classic Tears For Fears song "Shout," that he has been patiently waiting to cover since he first heard the song on U.S. radio in 1985. The digital album concludes with a bonus remix from synthwave artist Waveshaper. The 72 minute album depicts themes of a cyberpunk future where humans and sentient robots struggle to find a connection in their dystopian world.

Oh yeah, I'm right there with you. Although for me it was in the 90's. We here in eastern Europe used tapes for a while longer. I remember when I was 7-8, sitting in front of radio for hours, recording songs on tape, trying to hit start and end as close as I can.

I've had to do the pencil wind on a cassette tape a time or two in my day! I never thought I'd look back on it with nostalgia. Funny how time does that to you. It's incredible how this genre is finding a renaissance by many people that I assume weren't even born yet at the time it was originally invented. I think the OG artists would be impressed! Especially with modern production technologies. It's really tight and thumpy! Everyone buy some Koss Porta Pro headphones for listening to it!

I'm just confused at the lady that was opening the box on the floor.... Like there was an adequate amount of furniture in that house. Also the other two in the background that were just standing there like statues the entire time. I guess the NPC is logic broke. Lol. It literally looked like a video game glitch and I find that hilarious. This is some Sims behavior. One person sits on the floor to do an activity they shouldn't have to sit on the floor to do and everyone else just glitches out in the background. (I know there was probably some actual cinematography reason for it but that's just the funny story I tell to myself)
