Hi Bruce, Under the cab are 3 bodybuilder connectors. C486, C487 and C488. They are connected with the blue connector C494 inside the cab behind the small fuse box p9. You can use them for extra light or something else. On the white connector C497 also behind the fusebox p9, you can find different types of functions. Like reverse signal, blinker left and right, brake signal, upper and lower head beams, worklights, engine turn signal, light signal. Greetings from the Netherlands

@dirkdeleeuw584Ай бұрын
Hi Bruce, regards from NL here! I can agree with your customization 👍 It's a different style, but not obtrusive at all thus far. I think you can put round white LED units in the toombstone. That will not ruin the angular appearance as far as I'm concerned. Lots of customization in Europe puts round headlights on lightbars on the front side of the cab. So no concern at all at the back. The deck plate gives a clean look. You can keep it in the stainless look. But it will be a pain to keep clean 😅 The hub caps are great! They look like big robust planetary gears. But you still do need wide front tires 💪 I do appreciate you had the customazion done by professionals. Iowa Customs dit a great job! Better than try to meddle it by yourself. Other than that, I do agree with others, you could refer to the manual more often when you are out of clue about the trucks functionality. You can see if that tombstone is too close by detaching that reaction rod (the air part that you planned to install the light the first time) and moving it by hand. That rod defines if your cab is on level, so by moving it by hand you can control the rear air suspension of the cabin by hand. So basicly tilt it all the way back, and all the way forward to check if tombstone is too close.

Can't wait until it's finished! Great job, Bruce and team. Put lights in that fit the holes.

Nice! Round Temu LED that doesn't fit a single design element on a modern truck. Now, make it complete with som 50s watermelon cab lights, a chrome the shit out of it and a rear plate with the same Temu light and you're there. The paint buckets for the hubs was also a nice touch.. 😅😂😂😂 #ScaniaByTemuFTW.

Glad to see you've not gone ott with the modifications. The stuff you've done doesn't look bad tbf. As others have said, be careful with how close to the cab you mount the tombstone, square lights would work better on it too I think.

Nice that IOWA Customs get the essence of the Scania, lets hope that they do well selling there products around the world. Did have a little chuckle when you said about people not liking it if they don't understand it, reminded me of an Al Murrey scetch where he said something like, 'If Americans don't understand it they think its Aliens', Hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas. 👍

Guys, Svempa, the legendary Swedish Scania fleet owner, really customized all his trucks, so stop complaining about Bruce’ customizing this Scania!
@straybullittАй бұрын
Bruce is our American version of Svempa!!! 🤠 People just don't understand. 🥺 He's probably already making plans to chop the top off and make it into a convertible. 😃

Every country and region has their own style and taste of styling. For example: I own several Zündapp mopeds in The Netherlands, some special painted, customized with some small subtile ornaments, but even styling those varied from city to city. Bruce bringing in a brand new Scania into a customization shop, is one of the best things you could do to give that shop an oppertunity to be ahead of all possible sold new scania’s in the US or North America. Customizing and styling something you own, to make it something special, mostly special to you, is a way of expression and art. Keeping it stock is a way to go, but to convince others in the US or North America that it is also customizable and what possibilities there are already, will most likely start a whole new way of style and design as a sub category besides what styling already exists. As a Dutch person I love the styling in The Netherlands of Dutch trucks, especially Scania trucks. But I am curious how this will unfold. Good job Bruce!🎉 Convincing the stubborn old guard that a American styled new Scania will fit in nicely, might prove the chauvinistic old guard wrong, and might convince others that the (new) Scania’s are here to stay.

I don't see a problem with with what you're doing. You know best what Americans like. And it still has the OG Scania spirit, it's not like you're stripping it off it's identity.

As user of Scania I'll say: that truck is on US soil, you are the owner, so do with it what ever you want to do. Do not listen to EU viewers. US style sometimes is worth admiring.

He’s not the owner
@Xirque666Ай бұрын
@@laz820ko, but he's using it for PR, to make US truckers stand up for a demand for change when it comes to import laws. He also have to show them that it's possible to customize it.

I'm from the Netherlands, and love to see what you in the US can make of this, with a US version.

Euro guy here, I am actually excited to see what an American can do with this truck. I feel like here in the EU we are like Don’t touch it, it is specially engineered! Americans are more like, hey it’s just a truck, let’s pull the gearbox apart! I like that American spirit. Go for broke dude!
@almerindaromeira8352Ай бұрын
Yeah, you're right in a way but this is a demo truck which is going to Mexico afterwards. What's the point of a custom demo truck? So that americans can't see the original spec? If it was like the 5th truck in America, sure go ahead, but imo it's not something you do to the 1st one.
@masterbond9Ай бұрын
@@almerindaromeira8352 i think the point here is for scania to try to enter the american market. the US is one of the few, if not the only country they dont sell semis in. americans love to make their stuff their own, its how they show pride in their stuff. the americans will 100% know what is factory and what is customized. i think the reason why scania is giving him full permission to do these things to the truck, and why so many scania higher ups are watching these videos and reading the comments is because they want to see how possible it would be to bring their trucks here. there is so much time and effort put into building one of these trucks, that it makes no financial sense to just blindly start selling these trucks in the states, because i dont think most truckers here will just blindly go to another dealership for a new truck. they will stay loyal, unless they get a chance to actually see it, touch it and ask questions in the wild. like in previous videos how a few truckers, the minute they sat in the drivers seat, they were immediately very interested in them, one of them was ready to trade in his peterbilt the same day
