Hi Patrik, there are a few reasons. One of the main ones is because of the way NZ mass limits are set, the more axles on the truck the more weight it can be permitted for.

I currently own and run 4 V8 Scania trucks on line haul work up and down the north island so I think I know a thing or two about backing b train and t&t units.
