Scanning Technique: Gallbladder

Scan the gallbladder in patients with epigastric, right upper quadrant, or right flank pain or have unexplained sepsis or delirium. Follow the caudal edge of the liver from its medial tip and identify the gallbladder connected to the portal vein. Biliary findings can range from cholelithiasis to cholecystitis to signs of choledocholithiasis.

What is the tools name did you use for USG?

In my experience, that probe low position is quite difficult to scan gallbladder on many patients, especially on obese patients

Thanks for your comment! This was a nice slim patient , so no difficulty seeing the gallbladder. I agree with you that with obese patients the gallbladder is often tucked under the ribs, so intercostal scanning may be necessary. I also like to turn patients to the left lateral decubitus position to optimize GB imaging.
