I have the Fujitsu ix1600 Evernote edition but switching my docs to Apple Notes. I used the Scan Snap app on my Mac and set it up to scan into Evernote, but now want to scan into Apple Notes. I've searched everywhere but can't find a simple solution on how to use this scanner and scan into Apple notes. I did see someone do a work around using Apple Scripts but still could not figure it out. Please do a video on this, even if I need do a workaround. I'm using a M1 Mac desktop and need to use this scanner to scan into Apple Notes app. Thanks!

Hi Sean, I was hoping that you could assist or help with some guides on the Ricoh fi-8170 ADF + Manual feed scanner (PaperStream Capture Pro) QC & Index Enable a workstation to acts as a dedicated QC & Index Station where no scanner is required to operate QC/Index workstation , the workstation becomes a part of a multi station capture environment but can not be operated stand alone.

Sean, is there a duplex scanner/printer with ink well, Windows 11(64) compatible? I bought and returned Brother MFC-L8900CDW was a not a good fit. Brother has no tech support. Thank you.

On Amazon there's a ScanSnap IX1600 deluxe bundle that comes with a 1 year subscription to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, is there any use for that subscription if I am mostly scanning receipts? What formats does the current IX1600 save to? If PDF is already a saved to format option, what's the benfit in having Acrobat Pro DC? If I want to do a keyword search for a specific receipt vendor, item detail or amount, how is this done?

Hi there. I think that Adobe Acrobat is a useful program for viewing and editing PDF documents, but if you are only scanning receipts, you will likely be fine with free viewing software like Adobe Reader, Chrome, and ScanSnap Home. The iX1600 can scan to PDF or JPG. You can search for keywords in ScanSnap home. There is a 'keywords' search at the top of the screen. Thanks, Sean. The only downside that I can see is with e-mailing then. Usually the tif is a much smaller file and easier to e-mail as compared to the jpeg but the PDF may work for me. Appreciate your response!@@SeanDillman

Do you think it's a good idea to purchase the iX1600? It seems the hardware is over 3 years old now and i'm wondering if i should just hold out for the newer model. I don't need the scanner immediately, so i can wait a few months or so if need be.

That's a good question. The hardware is over three years old but the machine works incredibly well and is still the flagship model. I'm not sure if the company has any plans to release a new version anytime soon. Did you also see my review of the iX1300? It is slightly newer than the iX1600, though it's a different take. By the way, I love Trogdor!

@@SeanDillman I looked into the iX1300 a little more and it seems like it doesn't support scanning directly to a network share which is unfortunate as it meets all the other requirements. But again, thank you for the recommendation!
