Scantraxx: 15 Years of Hardstyle tells the story of the particular electronic dance music genre ‘Hardstyle’, which has grown from an underground Dutch movement to an international phenomenon in no less than 15 years.
The film shows how the genre, the leading label ‘Scantraxx’ and it’s artists experienced major topics that concerned the music industry as a whole, such as the impact of digitalization from vinyl to streaming and globalization to over 20 countries. In reliving these memories, DJ’s such as Headhunterz, Duro (known as Showtek), D-Block & S-te-Fan, Brennan Heart, Noisecontrollers, Wildstylez, Frontliner, Digital Punk, E-Force and many others are featured. Their stories are topped by the experiences of Scantraxx’ founder DJ The Prophet, the genres favourite MC’s, and professionals from industry leaders Q-dance and Scantraxx.

Kippenvel, ben nu 30, ben erbij vanaf de eerste jaren. Nummers downloaden vanaf internet, eerste jaren zelfs op floppy gezet en doorgegeven in de klas (sorry daarvoor nog, heb later financieel alles recht getrokken middels muziekaankopen, festivalstickets en merchandise). Prophet, Pavo, Dana, Luna, showtek.. donkeyrollers... Daar is de liefde ontstaan. Schitterend. Keken elk weekend uit naar Discotheek het Centrum in Wintelre omdat er in de Dornierzaal hardstyle werd gedraaid. Gefeliciteerd met jullie mooie jubileum, en bedankt voor al die schitterende muziek.

Prophet, I will never, ever ,ever forget the moment we locked eyes at EDC 2012 for Qdance's first landmark and your song "Wake You Up!" was playing as we both mouthed the words and just went ape shit. Never would I have imagined jamming out with thr godfather of Hardstyle at America's biggest dance event. I cried that night after that moment. What an amazing documentary.. and it doesn't sugar coat anything. It's amazing to see Scantraxx say "Yeah, this is where we went wrong, however let's move on and look to the future." Fantastic docu! . But you can clearly see that there is to much management at Scantraxx... The old guard is gone and with this the old hardstyle as well, 2006 - 2012 were the best years. The end of the docu sounds more like an advertisement. But keep supporting new talents, you guys still do a fantastic job.
