Nice fix on the steering wobble. Diagnosing problems left by a previous owner is a challenging yet rewarding aspect of working on bikes. Looking forward to your work/review of the Pan European. I've been interested in that model for a long time and want to see what you think about it.

@@chiefpepdesign I watched it last night. Very thorough review and your experience with many brands make it all the more credible. I had to chuckle when you'd stop talking just to enjoy taking a sweeping curve. I was interested on your take on the BMW's. I owned a 1978 R100/7 for 10 years and really enjoyed riding and working on it. But I too often read about owners of newer models having trouble with their finicky bikes. Love their styling though. Thanks for the review and all the detail you provided.

do you have any vibrations at 3000-3500 rpm on the control panel. I have a 2010 Beverly 500 cruiser and I have strong vibrations on the dashboard when I start and accelerate. Do you know what it could be. P.S. Belt and rollers replaced

It's a big 500cc one cylinder. So yes, absolutely normal in that rpm range. Same with the Scarabeo.

@@audiophilipp well, the front tyre is the most important one. First of all check the pressure. It should be on the recommended pressure. Furthermore, the front tyre gets 'scooped' very fast. This is one of the main causes of the wobble... So even if it's 'only' two years old, this could be the cause. Regarding the rear suspension, you can play with the different strengths by adjusting them. It's fairly easy to do.

Yes it did on start up. That's the belt you feel which tightens.

No I am sorry. You should search KZbin 'motorcycle headline led change/conversion' or something. This is just a general thing not specific for Scarabeo. Also, there are a lot of standard conversion led headlight DIY sets available.

It's a combination of a lot I guess. I think the front wheel got chopped a bit by for instance low tyre pressure and perhaps not really well balanced. So the change of front tyre helped a lot. But don't forget I also changed the front fork bearings.

@@chiefpepdesign OK here is the fun thing. I recently bought a Scarabeo 500, like yours (VR version - 2006). I was running for 2 weeks apparently with tyre pressures around 1.4 and just over 1 in the back apparently. When I inflated them both to 2, I started seeing the issue. Exactly around the 50 km/h speed. Before inflating them, I had not noticed the issue. The tyres are from 2015. Giving the context... would you guess the problem is from the tyre being old and possibly unbalanced?

@@MateiRadulescu1 Yes, that combination exactly. Old tyre, low pressure (and probably ran too long low inflated) thus got 'scooped', because of that got unbalanced. Replace/redo everything and keep it running on the right pressure. Best is to go to a real motorcycle balancing shop. They can balance the rim on left and right side. Carshops can't do that most of the time.

It's ok to just buy one new tire but 10 years is very, very old... A tyre with that age will never give you good grip and even can be dangerous so replace it!

My tgb shake same way, i balancing wheels helped but its not gone. Shake and shiver! with right kind of music you can really get into the rythem, scooters sucks!

I think you will never loose the wobble 100%. New tyres are really important though...
