I lowkey believe his old personality is a lot like Makoto and even if Ei forgot about him. If they met and Wanderer makes a slip up, Ei would be instantly be reminded of her sister. @@Cheshieruu I totally get what you're saying, but IIRC the Wanderer (as in Scaramouche before he regained his memories) isn't the original Scaramouche -- it was said within the game that the original Balladeer was now gone, and that Wanderer was meant to be a reincarnation. Wanderer, up until we found him and brought him to Nahida, had lived his own life and had his own experiences. He had a strong sense of integrity and was a little ditzy. He was easily excited by other people. He's quite literally a different incarnation of Scaramouche -- an incarnation that never met Dottore, Ruiner of Good Times. It's not that everyone forgot the Balladeer, it's that the Balladeer straight up never existed in the first place. The Wanderer was just as much of a person as Scaramouche was. He deserves to be acknowledged as such -- they both do. The memories aren't repressed, either -- they were taken away by a third party. That's not repression. The Wanderer wasn't necessarily a blank slate since he was clearly his own person. That's why his voicelines in his character profile and his voicelines in the teapot are so different; they're each being influenced by his different lifetimes. That's why he was so fucked up after receiving his past incarnation's memories; dudebro now has two whole lifetimes under his belt. idk, i feel like saying he just has amnesia when he was explicitly stated to be a straight up different incarnation of him feels wrong. Scaramouche and the Wanderer are the same person and yet they aren't. That's what OP meant -- that's why they were saying stuff like "A part of him is still ditzy," etc. They're referring to how Wanderer's lifetime influences (and clashes) with Scaramouche's. In the teapot he's still like this actually, his current self is sort of a blend of "Kabukimono" and "Scaramouche" and you get a lot of the "Scaramouche" side of him in battle and when he interacts in public, but his " Kabukimono" side is a lot more apparent in the teapot when he's talking one-on-one with the traveler.

I would much have perferred Wanderer’s struggle with finding out who the hell he is. Who “Scaramouche” was. What he did. And why everyone feared the title of the Balladeer. It would add so much depth and struggle within his character as he slowly gets his memories back, clearly knowing that he is not Wanderer. Something like what Tokyo ghoul had with Kaneki and Haise. It would be much better than some jerk that has an attitude problem with anger issues. Would’ve pulled for Wanderer if he would drop it.

Wanderer is perfect the way he is. He cant be better and he cant be worse. The way wanderers personality is, its perfect for the trauma he's been through. I absolutely love him, nothing can change his personality in any way whatsoever ❤❤❤ And yea i do love this video too so please dont take this as an insult!
