I just don't get why so many people are afraid of mice. They are smaller than sparrows, but nobody is afraid of those cute little birds. They are mammals, just like you, and I and dogs and cats and gerbils and hamsters, and all the rest of the mammals that we aren't afraid of. Maybe I get it with rats, they are just plain nasty (more really about how they look, like opossums for example), but as far as I know, nobody has ever been hospitalized, much less killed by a rat (or opossum either) attack (not exactly including the Black Plague, which was caused by the fleas on the rats, not the rats themselves if I remember correctly). They are still all mammals, like us, squirrels, raccoons, sheep, donkeys, horses, cows, whatever, just a whole lot less cute.

Нет, это не смешно. Не навижу змей, тараканов и всех ползающий. Я русская, где я живу этого нет. Первого таракана увидела по телевизору, у нас нет змей, они где-то есть, но на там где живу я. Поэтому для меня это больше шок, ужас, ненависть, испуг. Но правда это не смешно. Я б с таким шутником больше не жила.
