@@PE93 the husky was a young female, living with the young couple, walked regularly, well groomed, no complaints from the neighbours about them. She was even walking alongside the prams after the babies' birth. Part of the family. After 1 month, the mom was in the kitchen and noticed the husky being weird, restless, whatever. When she checked on the babies, they were both lying bloodied in their cots, neck injuries. The husky was taken away after that. Was it jealousy? Anxiety? Intolerance of change? We'll never know. I love dogs in every capacity, pets, service dogs, amazing creatures. But this, in this video? With my baby? Never! Even cats can be dangerous, sneaking in and curling up on top of the baby, suffocating it. When my daughter gets older, as a playmate, she can have any pet she wants 😁 I myself am no dog expert or dog whisperer, so your argument is 100% right about having to know your dog inside out, but most people are no Cesar Millan or whathisname 😊 I will pick the most suitable sized and tempered dog, even going to doggy school is a good thing, but dogs and babies in the same bed? No no no.

Many, MANY years ago when I was a baby, my soul sister was a beautiful Siamese cat called Topsy. She was my parent's warning system as she always knew three days before they did that I was starting with bronchial pneumonia again .... And they learned to read the signal. Our German Shepherd Major was very gentle with us, however, when bigger kids came around our guardian would quietly place himself between us and them, no teeth or growling, just the presence of this very large 100 pound dog kept them moving on down the street! Our little one( we adopted at 4 weeks) was born from a meth addict alcoholic who used Valium, & oxy for her down time. Sleeping was very hard for him, until one night I awoke to check on him & my Pomeranian was in his crib laying against his leg. He slept for almost 2 hours 🥰 before this night he’d only sleep 20-30 minutes. He’s 8 now, & to this day, she sleeps in bed with him. He sleeps all night.🥰

Parents, if your child needs a sleep, put them in the bed and have you and your husband just stand and chat with each other in the room about the day or plans for tomorrow and the child will relax and feel safe and know they aren’t going to be locked away from the family. It won’t take long, but they will go off to sleep fairly quickly. Learned this after child 3. 😉
