I have a pretrial coming up on this Tuesday, and for me this has been a horrible experience. All because I accidently hit a 1/2 ton pick up truck's bumper at about 3 mph which caused minimal damage mostly to my foreign car. I'm 55 yo and I've never ever been charged with anything until now. I think that the statute needs to change because 169.14.1 "Due Care" needs to change. When this is all over, I'm going to be contacting my senator and rep. My lawyer said this is an issue in Anoka county... I can't believe a tiny 6 inch scratch on my hood warrants having to go to court and have to pay a fine and be charged with a misdemeanor... talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill... I appreciate your message and it does bring me some comfort, so thank you Ryan!! Bless you sir...

@@iamthenra1968 I’m sorry that’s happening to you! You may want to ask about a “continuance for dismissal” or “stay of adjudication.” Or of course you could go to trial. Talk to your lawyer about all 3 of these options!

@@RyanPacyga Thank you Ryan, that is exactly what my lawyer got for me was a continuance for dismissal I just have to watch my speed, the conditions were set that I cannot have any petty or other violation for one year, which will be March of 2025... if you are ever in Anoka county, be extra careful, because Anoka county Sheriff's deputies are a bunch of Richards... Take care

Why you keep pointing out university cases is it because all the ridiculous loss now looks like title nine and campuses that have like 36,000 students can still be considered some kind of familiar environment meaning that girl could be raped and then since they are perfectly obvious strangers but go to the same school Let’s consider a domestic violence situation…. And as if that was the only horrible angle to something like this anyway because of all these ridiculous laws getting worse and worse that victims are now being charged and our liable to go to jail if they try to fight off their rapist. or perpetrator attacker is this weird messages and speeches that people give nowadays that makes sense in certain ways it’s like they’re trying to say some secret message you know it’s definitely not a parable.
