Scarf Dance or Pas des Echarpes, Op. 37 No. 3 by Cécile Chaminade for Piano Solo
Cécile Chaminade was a prolific French composer and pianist (1857-1944) who wrote many works for piano, voice, and a Concertino which remains in the standard repertoire for flute.
This month I am featuring music for Women's History Month and found this to be a perfectly charming example of Chaminade's tuneful and romantic-style pieces. A couple of the videos will be like this and have the sheet music rather than video of me playing (due to some time constraints!) but I hope you enjoy listening nevertheless 🎵
