You know, I think sometime you should play around with camera angles and see if you can't get things like the piano keys, rug, doorway in the background, to all line up, I think that'd be pretty freaking cool. Heh, talk about doing a double-take! 😏

In addition to ragtime, I'm also a Sousa fan as well. Great job. I sometime use Sousa marches in my job as Washington state musician for the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Yes! Sousa has a wealth of great music, including non-marches. I've recorded one of his waltzes, an overture, and a more rag-like piece in addition to my yearly march duet 😄

Thank you for doing this. Your playing is fantastic, and I really appreciate the attention to detail. In particular, this is the only accompaniment I could find of In Dreams that was remotely singable. Everyone else played it *so* slow-impossible to hear the rhythm, much less get through a phrase or get meaning of the text across.. I wish you all the best in your pianistic career. You seem like you would be a fantastic collaborative pianist to work with.

It's good to hear that I exhibit that kind of confidence, but I definitely make mistakes! 😅 I usually do multiple takes for each video and keep the best one (also for this piece specifically I learned the music wrong in a couple spots and had to re-do the whole recording!)

I became acquainted with this beautiful music through your site. Your arrangement is very nice, and in a key I like, Gb. One of the rags I play is Joseph Lamb's Excelsior, which is in Db and Gb. Being self-taught, I learn a lot from watching your hands. You obviously studied piano for many years. Keep up the great work.

Thank you, Frederick! I found the piano arrangement wasn't very intuitively written and had to make several changes to make it a bit more 'playable'. I think it turned out okay though!
