Houses that were heated by coal fires could be dusty places. When I was a little girl my mother used to clean out the grate and do her chores dressed in an apron and with her hair tied up with a scarf. With the household tasks completed she would change into into her 'day wear' and go and do her shopping. Happy memories! PS All those women who 'did their bit' deserve our respect.

With my very long hair I find the snood style most useful because I can protect the length of my hair without having to tie it up first. Thanks.

Thank you so much! This style is so unusual, and not many women dare to wear it now :)

These are beautiful! I'm wondering if they would able to stay in place on a bald chemo head... I'll give it a try!

Thank you! Have you tried an underhat for wigs to keep the scarf in place? Also, you can use a cotton scarf instead of a silk one, cotton is less slippery :) I hope you will be ok soon

I have been trying to find scarves this size for years! I can only find silk scarves for $300. So frustrating.
