Scarface was so ahead of its time. Its crazy all the features presented; the cop heat system, the combat mecanics, the empire management, the secondary missions, the cellphone conception, the alternative playable characters(tony, enforcer, driver and the assassin lady). A lot of things we only would see in next generation GTAs. So underrated, Scarface definitely doesn't get the credits it deserves.

@@bobarcher5837 Of all the features he mentioned the only one San Andreas had was the cellphone and even Scarface did it better (being able to pull it out when you want to instead of just being a cutscene prop). This game was better than the GTAs of its time and had features that would've improved games that came after, but Rockstar would never acknowledge that a "clone" improved on what they did.

@@bobarcher5837 He said Cop Heat System, not wanted level. SA's is just silly which is why we take the piss out of it so much (entering a Pay'n Spray in front of the cops and evading them for one). The Cop Heat System is far more complex and has a real feeling of consequence to wreaking havoc. The Combat Mechanic of SA is garbage as to be a no-count compared to Scarface's. Didn't noticed what he said about secondary missions though lol But the point still stands.

One of the things I loved the most from this game is how it allows you to choose from the first mission: you not only relive the iconic final scene of the movie, but you can also change the ending or let it happen. That's something games ignore these days: player choice.

That would be André Sogliuzzo, who was personally selected by Pacino himself. Actors from the original film who did voice work for the game include Steven Bauer, Robert Loggia, and Al Israel. Loggia voices several civilians and narrates the game while Bauer voices The Sandman and one of the Diaz brothers.

From what I've heard, Al Pacino's voice had changed too much from how it was in the movie that the developers felt it would throw too many people off. This apparently left Pacino pretty disappointed, so he compromised and said "Fine, but if I can't voice Tony, I at least get to pick who does voice him", and the studio agreed immediately, cause when Al Pacino makes you an offer, you take it straight up.

I had more fun building a criminal empire in this game than my entire time playing GTA Online. Online microransactions really have hurt the fun and enjoyment of modern AAA games. I'm so glad this game came out when it did, almost wish the Xbox 360 port that was rumored had come out but it still cleans up on the original Xbox with good component cables on a modern TV, not 4k resolution but I can't complain. If you ever have a chance to pick this game up if you don't already have it. Do it, there's a reason it's been not cheap in used game stores. It really is that DAMN good

I would love for this game to be remade and for there to be an online mode. With online mode maybe everyone can be their own character while Tony is unplayable, but more of a boss that you engage with later on doing online. I know rights is iffy with this one but if Sony wants to stay in the race with all of Xbox's exclusives, they need to remake games like this, Socom, Warhawk, Mag and Godfather. I would love for Sony to get rights to a couple Gangster movies and make a connected universe. Throw in Godfather, Scarface, Carlitos Way. Maybe just have them be different games and have it progress a story. They would have to re-imagine some of the Pacino characters but its possible.

You wouldn't think the same company that made The Simpsons Hit and Run made this masterpiece as well. Scarface: The World is Yours. Two of the best games ever made by Radical Entertainment. Sadly, this company is long out of business. But I would do anything for a port of this game onto PS5.

This game is amazing. I put so many hours into it as a kid I'm tempted to get it for old time's sake. If you go to the escape tunnel right after getting your mansion back from vice you can get Tony's M16. It eats through enemies and it's great to have early game.

This game is the classic masterpiece from the PS2 era. The tauntin' trash talk is so hilarious! The rage mode is so awesome when you positively gotta kill every MFr in the room. Of course the soundtrack is GOLD.
