What a great intro. Still my favorite movie of all time. Giorgio Moroder at it's finest.

DePalma. Pacino. Stone. Moroder. This film truly was a meeting of the minds. No wonder it's a classic.

When the music moves you emotionally, that is legitimate magick.

Oh my lord... the tragic tune of this tale perfectly juxtaposing the triumphant journey from Cuba to America. A story of greed, hate, apathy and so many more deep themes. Romantic honestly how the music and themes come together to create such an unbelievable viewing experience

Las palabras de Castro le dan fuerza tanto al opening como al guión, porque se le menciona más adelante en la película... Y reitera, como todos sabemos, que era la persona que menos se preocupaba por su gente. Saludos!

Giorgio Moroder is immense! One of the fews that is able to impress so much sentiment in a soundtrack perfectly tailored for the visuals.

If you are ever in Key West, check out the botanical gardens on Stock Island. They have a couple of "chuggs" which are the boats that are actually from the Muriel Harbor boatlift.

The very first time I saw “Scarface (1983)” was in the summer of 1985. A friend rented this movie on one of those old VHS tapes. There were two tapes to this motion picture. So we all sat down, beers being consumed and lots of green leafy substance. He hooked his VCR to some fancy speakers. I could tell just by the way this motion picture soundtrack kicked off that this was going to be a violent-type movie. Gut feeling if you will. I have been told by folks in the past that the opening to the 1982 “The Thing” gives an eerie feeling the movie is horrific.

maybe not the most logical, not the most well written, not the most critcally acclaimed.. but still, the greatest film of all times for me. The emotions that this intro+main theme leave me with are indescribable
