Join our family on the adventure of a lifetime as we sail from Port Vila to Tanna and hike to the top of the mighty Mount Yasur Volcano. It's a rocky journey, but the breathtaking views and exciting eruptions make it all worth it. But be warned, this is no ordinary hike. Walking along the razor edge around the crater of the volcano will have your heart racing with fear and awe. With an extreamly steep drop into the volcano on one side and a sharp lava rock cliff on the other, this is a challenge like no other. As the sun sets and we leave the volcano, the real test begins. The path is filled with acrid volcano gasses, making it almost impossible to see or breathe. This is easily the scariest experience any of us have ever had, but also the most unforgettable. I am going to relate the impressions I had watching this video. Before I wrote the rest of this I took a quick look at what others said and to my amusement they felt exactly the same as I did. I loved the video but at the same time it was a horror show. So so amazing. It really was so good to watch it and know that you were all safe in the end. There is a saying that "there must be opposition in all things. .in order to experience sadness and happiness . " and this really illustrated that truth. Thank you so much for your "fun" ie. "crazy" experiences and sharing them with us.

oh my - not being able to see for the smoke and knowing there was a volcano just there with maybe slippery, crumbly sides and that if you got off your path by mistake in the smoke you might take a tumble in - scary!! Plus breathing that hot smokey volcano air. You guys are dang brave I'll have you know. Wow. My heart would be pounding like crazy. It was just watching you.

When I walked up the vulcano in 2022 we had to sign a paper when we checked in; did you read it? you confirm, that you understand that you could die during this adventure; We all got helmets and masks, so we could breath more easily. If the wind changes and you are in the vulcano cloud - this is most terrible. I am happy you all got down safely. (anyway, if you get killed it is because of a lawa-stone, coming down in an unexpected direction). They told us, on the next day we can go up again for halft the price. Only 2 of our group of 6 did it again. I do love vanuatu. Did you visit the school in port resolution? I have lots of friends there. I love the place. We are actually back here again, the videos haven't caught up, but we brought lots of donations from Brisbane to Tanna. Chainsaws and Generators, and tents etc... People are so kind.
